Numbers instead of letters on Aspire 1 netbook

Hi.

You have the Number Lock on. Look to the top right of the keyboard and press the key that has Num Lock printed on. That will return the keyboard to normal.

My boot priority order changed now my computer wont go to my desktop

Hi!
Sorry, I hope I was not too late. You can fix priority order issue by restoring the default value of BIOS. You can do that by doing the steps below:
1. Reboot your Acer Aspire 5315 notebook.
2. Wait about 30 seconds until you see the Acer logo on your laptop screen.
3. Press the "F2" key on the keyboard to enter the Acer Aspire 5315 laptop BIOS menu.
4. Select the BIOS option "Load Default Setting" using the arrow keys on your keyboard. Then press "Enter."
5. Press the "F10" key to save the BIOS that is reset to the factory default settings.
Hope this helps.

I lost my question mark -- what do I press to get it back

Press your FN key.
If you look at your Keyboard on a laptop you'll see that certain keys have more than 1 symbol on them.
The FN key brings these secondary symbols to life as live keys and pressing it again will restore original function to the keyboard.

Computer won't let me acess any software

Windows XP
1)Try the following steps, hard boot the notebook, before the post bios completes press F8 on the keyboard, you will see the boot options, choose last known good configuration, or Safe Mode with Network support.

2) If number 1 did not work then insert the windows installation disc, boot up the notebook and enter the bios either by pressing F2 or F10 or Delete, change the boot sequence to CD-ROM as your primary boot device. Remember to change this back when you have solved the problem. now the notebook will display the following: press any key to boot from CD-ROM, Press any key, now let the setup progress till you see the setup console, continue with a standard installation till you see the text "Press R for the Recovery console" now you will see a text e.g. c:\windows (1) now press 1 on the keyboard this is your root directory. now type the following and fixboot (Enter) your answer will be (Y) at all the prompts. then you type fixmbr (Enter) follow the prompts with (Y)
After it has completed the operations type Exit to exit the Root Directory. Reboot your notebook.

If this did not help please specify any other questions, and or any error messages, beeps.
