My Roper top load washer is making a squealing sound.. Is it a belt?

Most are belt drive on front loaders and on some top loaders but not all. Other culprit can be a dry bearing. Get into it a take a look. A length of plastic hose makes a good stethoscope to pinpoint the noise.

I need to change the belt on front loader amana tandem 7300

The back doesn't come off - the 'shell' (top and sides) come off. Then you should be able to get to belt from the side, you'll need a lot of room to work with it.

My machine is not spinning what may be the problem

depends on what brand and type of unit... is this a front loader a top loader and what brand.. is it direct drive or belt driven.... if it is belt driven could be a bad belt or pulley...if it is direct drive such as a top load whirlpool ,kenmore, roper, you could have a bad drive coupling which is located between the motor and transmission under unit.... if this is a front loader there are numerous items it could be example a motor controller board, main pcb board.
if everything is working but the spin mode and this is a top loader unit may want to check the lid swich that will cause the unit to not spin.... hope this helps kinda a vague description of your probelm....good luck and give me a vote i need them....

My washing machine will not spin...

As you don't give the model, I can just give a generic reply.
Most front loaders are belt driven, and some top loaders are.
I think the main thing to look at first is the connection of the drive motor to the tub. If this is a belt - replace it and check the tensioner.
If it is a top loader using a gearbox, then the motor is likely to need either brushes or a new capacitor. Both items should be checked - so -
Belt ok? - Y= go to next question / N = Replace belt
Brushes ok Y= go to next question / N =Replace
Replace Motor Run Capacitor.

My machine is not spinning when spin is selected

HI. if this is a belt driven top-loader, or front-loader, more than likely, the belt has slipped off the drive pulley, or the belt has failed. Now, if this is a top loader, with a direct drive assembly. the motor coupler will be the culprit in this case.

Front loader Electric Dryer the belt

It's not that hard, but it can be a little tricky. First UNPLUG the dryer or turn off the gas to it, whichever is applicable.

Then, assuming you have the new belt, you will open the lint filter door. There will be two screw heads visible. Remove them. Place a knee in the center of the dryer just below the top. Place your hands at the front corners and **** hard while pressing with your knee and lift up on the top of the dryer. Once you do this, tilt the dryer top back until it rests on the wall behind the dryer.
Next remove the two bolts at the top front corners. Disconnect the wiring harness connector for the door switch and lift the front panel of the door up and away from the rest of the dryer. You will notice the drum rides on the front panel and will fall down.
Take out the old belt. Loop the new belt around the drum in the same approximate position that the old belt was riding. Take a small loop of belt and push it through the tensioner while lifting the tensioner to relieve tension off the belt. Then loop that end around the motor pulley.
To re-assemble the dryer, reverse the directions for taking it apart. Remember to hook up the wiring harness. You will have to lift the drum into place to make sure the felt on the front and rear ride correctly on the guides.

Good luck!

How to change the belt in my whirlpool washing

It's probably the washer transmission. Belts aren't common anymore & besides it wouldn't work at all if there was a belt broken.
