Hi there... What is the brand/model of the tv ? Where are you located ? Power / Antenna / AV / HDMI --> what type ? The sourcing of generic cables would be easier / quicker / cheaper than any proprietary cables / cords.
Generic - JB HiFi, Jaycar, D!ck Smith, Harvey Norman, should do.
Proprietary - depending on the company, I'd look at authorised agents for the brand, the company's local service centre, if recent model - retailers may have odds 'n ends (may), or if still out of luck... the second hand market - online, papers, etc.
(let your fingers do the walking, and
And not forgetting, the internet - where anything's possible.
Good luck Ruth, hope to hear of your success !

My idiot roommate cut my power cord in two and tried to pull it out of the back of the TV. Can I just replace the cord outright? If so, how do I remove the old cord. It won't come free from the TV. dj

Hello,
You can probably replace the cord outright , but to do that you will have to take the tv apart and also purchase a new cord. If you still have the original cord that got cut, you can just splice it using **** connectors and it will be easier and cheaper. If you do take that route, just make sure you splice the same colors together, and use some electrical tape to re-insulate the cord. Hopefully this helped.
Thanks

I have a CLT2054 and lost the power cord. I bought a new power cord but when I plug it in the light on cord goes out and TV wont come on. If I un plug cord light comes back on

You have short circuits inside the TV, the AC goes into shutdown when it senses too much current being draw. Post some pictures inside the TV if you can, wee need to look for short circuits, another thing, you bought new AC adapter with the same voltage and current rating, right?

Need new power cord

Recommend against soldering the damaged ends together - it's ugly, will never be especially safe, and risks being unreliable too. Have a look at the TV end of the cable. Does it go straight into the TV, or is there a plug that goes into the TV. If there's a plug, just pull it out, take it along to shop that sells TVs and they'll sell you a new one off the shelf. If the cable goes straight into the TV, the solution is just a tiny bit more involved. First, look at the mains plug to check whether it is moulded on, or rewirable. If moulded on, you will need both a new plug, and some flex. If rewireable, you'll only need the flex. Either way, take the cut-off end to Home Depot or somewhere similar and buy something the same shape and size (thickness of the wires is the important thing here). To fit, carefully take the back off the TV and look at how the existing cord was connected and secured before removing it and putting the new one on in exactly the same way. Don't forget to push the wire through the hole in the case (if there is one) before connecting it up. Once the flex is fitted to the TV, fit the plug to the other end. Safety/reliability tip 1 - while the back is off, try not to touch any electrical or electronic components inside the TV other than the power terminals you're supposed to be working on. Saety tip 2 - when renewing a power cord, wire the new cord to the appliance before fitting the plug to the other end of the cord - amazing how many people have helpfully been plugged into the mains in the middle of a job.
