First the model given is not a MTD it is Craftsman's AYP
There only four adjustments that can be made. Please refer to the owners manual page 21 for the instructions.

SOURCE: how do i change the drive belt on my mtd riding

You might not have to drop the deck. Take a look at where the drive belt is mounted and remove only what has be be removed. At the front of the engine pulley there are probably two long bolts that have to be removed so the belt will come off and come on. Then when you put the new belt on put inside of belt (V) in to the pulley and flat part of belt up against any idler's. When on properly it should be snug.

Good luck

SOURCE: mower deck

MAKE DARN SURE THE POWER IS OFF BEFORE YOU START THE PROCEEDURE BELOW! there should be 4 connection points for this machine. Clear out your garage ... get something comfortable to lay on and a small supply of proper supply wrenches and a tape measure. put the deck in UP position. put the blades perpendicular to the front to back axis of the machine. Measure from the floor to the blade tips on the outside. record the numbers. turn the blades 90 degrees. repeat. adjust the proper corner slowly (no big changes!) continue to measure until the numbers are equal.

Low on the left - change the adjustments on the left front and back. Low in the front - lift the front - both sides.

It took me several hours to do my mower when I got it new but I was pretty particular about it

SOURCE: replacing a MTD spindle assembly

Yes, most spindles come with non threaded holes. The metal is soft and you can just use regular bolts. Once you start them, they cut their own threads.

SOURCE: MTD 46 '' mower deck 190-806-000 blade brake control cable missing

The cable connects to the pin on the deck brake assembly and the other end connects to the pin that hangs downward from the upper idler assemble. Each end is held in place with a washer and cotter pin.

First is to check the belt diagram and make sure your belt is on the correct side of the engagement pulley. This would be the one on the left side of deck with a spring attached.

Mtd riding mower: right mower blade cutting uneven, but don't see problem

The blade can be bent or the deck is not level. Adjust the deck and level it from side to side. Now level it from front to rear with the front of the deck 1/4" lower than the back. If after leveling it, you find it still cuts uneven remove all blades and inspect them. You will more than likely find one is bent. Replace a bent blade.

MTD 603 cutter not level. Cuts low on RH and high on LH. Is there an adjustment to make.

First make sure that your tires are all aired up the same and then park it on level concrete. Drop the deck down on 4 short pieces of 2 x 4 set on edge. Then find your 4 deck hanger rods and adjust them individually until each corner of the deck just starts to come off the 4 2 x 4's. At this point your deck should be level. hope this helps you...
