Question about Samsung LN52A650A LCD TV
Have taken off back of tv, caps look good, have not put meter on caps. thinking of replacing power board. any suggestions especially from "The Knight". any and all input would be appreciated, thanks, steve.
The power board to your TV is working fine now. If you're determined to make experiments with it; just carry on!! Replace the boards. one after another, till the fault is rectified.

SOURCE: SAMSUNG LCD TV horizontal lines
causing of horizontal lines is leaky or defective capacitors. check big value capacitors around the board at Horizontal area. check the filter capacitor as well. good luck

I just had my HP-R4252 repaired on 12.05.09 with a similar problem. The picture is covered in horizonal, broken lines and the color is predominately red. They lines are grouped together in large bands across the screen.
The tech replaced the Y-Buffer boards (Up) and (Low) in about 20 minutes.

Yes, it is very easy to repair. Solder iron wattage should be at least 300 w.
The PSB is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove the shield that covers the Boards and remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM852 & CM853; 2200ufd 25volts.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

Testimonial: "Great fix"
Do you have more specific information on your set, such as the full product model? Such as: HP-R4252X/XAA? What about the version?
This can help, because--as of right now--you are telling me that you put that Philips part into your Samsung TV. The LJ41-02759A is made for a range of Philips sets. They may work, don't get me wrong, but the part # for your Samsung set is: BN96-02033A
I don't have both these boards in front of me, of course, so I can't tell you if they cross or not.
Hope this helps.
