I have a cordless drill model 6095D. The torque function is always on torque, won't put in screw. I don't need the torque function at all, just straight screw driving, but need to fix some way.

50% of issues like this one are solved by cleaning the mechanism, you have quite old drill so it's a big chance a metal chip went somewhere between the gears, take the drill apart and clean the mechanism first, if this is not the issue you may figure out by taking the drill apart which you need to do in any case. Or take the risk and use brute force. drillselect com

Here is a part breakdown. Chances are the switch assembly #14 or if you get to the brushes, they sometimes go bad. If you don't want to try to fix it yourself, these people know where to send it. It really is pretty easy to fix.

I have two 18v DeWalt cordless drills that I have USED A LOT -- can I replace the motor pack?

If your mechanical/electrical knowledge is up to par, then yes. I'm not sure what the cost would be..but I've taken apart a few drills and replaced brushes, lubed bearings, etc.. They are fairly simple..although I know those XRPs are must have put it through some insane force to break it. You may want to check with the warranty on them friend has gotten a few, free, replacements though the depot.

How can I disassemble a Dewalt keyless cordless drill chuck? I mean take it apart, not just remove it.

depending on the chuck it would take special fixtures to press apart, and unless you are very good with tools you would damage it beyond repair. I have never taken a keyless apart and tried to repair and put together, I have on the other hand done the same with the keyed chucks.

How do i release a drill bit

This particular drill/driver has a keyless locking chuck. Apart from suggesting you read the manual, you grip the black plastic part of the chuck and turn it anti clockwise (when it's facing you)

Transmission fell apart. Looking for blueprint to reassemble.

The transmissions come as an assembled unit and there are no drawings for the internals. If you can find an old drill that is no good, use it as a guide.
Hope this helps
