I don't think you can as there were no authorised versions of XP on the web.

SOURCE: I can't re install windows XP Pro on my IBM T30 2366-86u

its oem, you either need IBMs restore cd for your particular laptop (model) or an xp pro (any service pack will do) OEM disk.
You can not get the OEM disk at best buy, circuit city target etc those are retail versions and will not work. Newegg.com or frys electronics are your best bet, but by buying it from them you are getting another copy of xp pro, just use the cd with the keycode on your laptop and then you can install xp pro on another pc using the code that came with the disk. MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING AN OEM VERSION AND NOT A RETAIL VERSION.

Some technical stuff:
For the xp pro disk you MUST have the COA product key available, this is usually on the bottom of your laptop, for IBMs disk you just have to have an IBM WITH an IBM motherboard as without the motherboard it will not work. For example, the motherboard goes out and you replace it with a non ibm board it will only boot for 3-5 times, the ideaa is that this gives you time to get your documents off. This is per Microsoft agreement with ibm and all other Original equipment manufactures this include hp, dell etc.

sorry if this is too technical for you please let me know.

SOURCE: My recovery CD (gateway 7330gz PC) are no working

I have the same problem with my Gateway 7330gz. My laptop got infected with spywares and it was so annoyed that I have to think about recover the system. So I did it with Gateway Recovery software. I chose the recovery option (press F11 when boot up)from hard drive since my dvd drive was broken. It went well but when it boots up again and Windows XP says detecting and installing the drivers and such, it was frozen haft way through. I turned off power many times to reboot but it kept freezing at that point. I search Internet for help and seen this post. Wonderful! I press F2 to go to BIOS setup screen, use right arrow key to move to Advance menu option. There I use down arrow key to select SpeedStep, hit (-) key to disable it. Then F10 to save and exit, hit enter for OK button. The system boots again but this time it was no longer freezing, the setup process went through ok and continues...I am so happy and type this message so it might help others with the same issue. Thanks

SOURCE: can someone provide me online recovery disk of gateway 7330gz

You must set the boot sequence of the system to cd/dvd rom first which will enable the system to look for booting files in the disc in the first instance.

In your case your system is booting direct from hard disk. Boot sequence can be changed ib the bios setup of your system.

In some laptop models the restore files can be accessed by pressing function keys while system starting.

From a computer that has internet access, download the appropriate ethernet driver for your network card from the link above. As for the recovery disk, you'll have to contact Gateway for a replacement disk.

Restore for gateway desktops
The way to restore Gateways is to hold down the ALT Key and repeatedly hitting f10 then it should bring you to a boot sequence screen then choose the HDD and then hold down ALT and repeatedly hit f10 again.
That should prompt the restore feature for gateway.
with a "Restore from factory default" option. This loads the system partition (C:) from the recovery partition (hidden). It does wipe every thing out on the C: drive to be like it was when new.
If that doesn't work the only way to do it is to boot into windows and run the eRecovery program

Install xp

To install Windows XP on a Panasonic Toughbook CF52
you have two choices:

1) Use a standard Win'XP Pro SP3 boot CD and then
then download each driver from the Panasonic Website:

http://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/itn/drivers/d_menu_en.html

2) Purchase the recovery disk from Panasonic directly
from the following website:

http://business.panasonic.com/support-computerstablets-dvdrequests

Here is what they say:
Recovery DVDs are available by mail for select Toughbook® products. Windows® XP back up service is only available to customers who purchased Panasonic computers with XP downgrade rights. Windows XP Backup Image and Windows 7 Recovery DVDs restore a PC to its original factory image. The standard Panasonic factory image includes the Windows operating system and all drivers/applications originally installed by Panasonic.

That is it.
Good Luck!

How do you put the Windows XP back to factory default in the start?

There's two ways, one is using system restore and using the oldest restore point, as long as the points weren't deleted to increase storage space.

The other way is to use a windows XP install disk and doing a fresh install of XP.

As for a system, you can restore a system like a pre-built, say a eMachine using the recovery partition or recovery disks.

M675 virus need recovery cd

The system recovery application can be run 2 ways. If can be run from within windows as you have been attempting to do, and it can be run without going into windows.

The access the system recovery without going in to window:
Power your computer off.
Disconnect all external devices including printers and pc-card (external mouse and keyboard can be attached)
Power you system on and watch very carefully for a message that says 'Press F11 to start system recovery'
Press F11 as soon as you see this message.
From her you can go through the recovery process. Because you are dealing with a virus, it's a better idea to perform a complete reload (the destructive version) but it will completely erase all files on your computer. The danger in not doing this method is that some virus can be reactivated later if they have not been erased from the hard drive.

Need systems restore disk for Gateway

Hi,

I'm not sure if you hope to rescue your files and documents but a system restore disk won't do this, it will wipe you hard disk and return it to factory default. therefore you could just start again with any copy of windows XP. You'll need driver disks but you can download them from the gateway website. you can get an XP disk cheaply on ebay.
