Question about Sony Mz-m100 Hi Md Minidisc Recorder/player Extravaganza
It isn't the settings, it used to be bright and clear now it is dim all the time and can hardly see it.
The question is out of date, but maybe someone will find my answer useful. My MZ-RH1 and MZ-RH10 OLED displays are getting so dim that they're almost unreadable. Unfortunately OLED, especially blue, didn't last long and that was the pitfalls of owning it. I'm bummed because I love my MZ-RH1 and want it fixed. I sent it to Sony to repair last year and they returned it saying it was unfixable. I'm assuming they don't have the display part any longer. That's a bummer. I'm assuming the MZ-RH10 will be the same. So, we have what we have so love it until it dies.

1) Make sure the battery is all charged up.
2) Live with it. Seriously. It will cost you $100+ to replace the display.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The following web address claims to provide a free download of the manual which you require. I haven't downloaded and examined it myself though as I'm sure that you're more than capable of doing that for yourself.
Please return the favour by rating my answer, or if the address turns out to be unhelpful then report back with a comment and I'll try again.

Sony has a free program called Sonic Solutions. It stinks to high hell. But it is free.
I strongly suggest you either play the MDs into your computer via the LINE IN, or buy a Behringer UCA202 USB Audio Interface from Amazon for $30 and input the audio digitally via the USB.
That's how I do it.

Check your INPUT. Either nothing is going in at all, or you are trying to make a digital copy of a digital original ... which an MD will not allow.
