Question about Televison & Video
I want to get streaming movies and tv shows
I believe your referring to your wireless network password?
If so, you'll need to acquire your wireless network's password to connect wirelessly. You can connect your Roku device to your router without a password using an Ethernet cable until you resolve the password issue. The network password is the same one you'd use for connecting any wireless device to your secured network. If you can't remember your password, you'll have to login to your router through a browser on your computer, and access the wireless settings where you can find, or set your password. Default network login information can usually be found on a sticker somewhere on your router.

You have to go to www.roku.com and sign up for an account. Once you have signed up for an account (yes you have to give them bank card stuff in case you use a pay for channel) on your account page there at the bottom right of the page is a link to "Link A Player". This is how you get your code.

Why do you need a roku if you have a smart TV?
Anyways, if you plug the connector into the TV via your HDMI port, it should power on. switch your tv to that input, and then use the remote to scroll through the setup options and find your wifi and set it up. it is a farily simple process

Connect the Roku box to your television in accordance with the procedure outlined in your Roku box's manual.
Select the type of network connection you have (wired or wireless) on the network screen, and provide the necessary information that applies to your network. Once a network connection is established, you should see the activation screen with an activation code.
