SOURCE: roof gasket on rv a/c

Try not to compress gasket past 1/2 it's original thickness. Most of the factory ones have tabs that stick down, and supposedly when they touch the roof, it's far enough, which is about same as 1/2. I use my cordless with the torque setting on it, at about 2-3 until I see how far that draws down, then increase/decrease as needed from there.Once i feel it's 1/2 way, I torque all at same setting on drill to make sure all equal.

SOURCE: coleman tsr rv air conditioner leaks into rv when running

It probably has a clogged condensate drain. Take off the cover on top the RV and check hoses or tubes leaving unit for debris or lint. Often this water is used to help cool the condenser so look for leaves pine needles etc in the pan. There may be a cover you can remove on the evaporator section that will allow you to clean the collection pan and hose or trough. Is it possible the RV is far enough out of level that the condensate can't "run uphill"? Always power off while working on this unit unless you are electric savvy. Good luck!

Rv heat pump problems

Open circuit or out of range Freeze Sensor. Air conditioner mode of operation will be locked out. Furnace, heat strip, heat pump and fan mode of operation can continue to operate but displays the last temperature set-point. There is a sensor that detects evaporator freezing, it may be bad or your freezing because of low freon levels

Fan not blowing in coleman trs rv roof air

well check a few things first....have someone remove the cover and reach in with a hand and try to manually spin the blade...free spinning?....then tell the person below to click in the on postion while someone views from up top.....is it humming? or even trying to spin?....if not check the fuse on the RV that protects the A/C unit.....good?.....now replace the capacitor ( it the silver or gray can looking thing that the motor wires run to) only the correct size will work w/o causing further motor damage.

I have a dometic roof mounted air conditioner 3300 series and it developes this vibration like a real loud hum

sounds as if the fan motor bearing have worn out lettin the fan cage wobble upon reaching full speed hence the vibration. There also could be build up of debris in the fan assembly. Good luck on your repairs

I have an old type roof top a/c unsure of the model or make no tags. It starts and runs for about 60 seconds then stops but the compressor still runs. I replaced the run capacitor with no luck.

You might try removing the cover on the compressor where the wires hook up and see if there is a little black overload, usually the common wire is connected to it and then there is a wire from it to the common terminal on the compressor. If you have one of these overload protectors they can get weak or the wire can be loose causing a high amp draw.

Intertherm rooftop air conditioner problem

With two units of the same make and one works right and the other does not you can use an OHM meter to check the resistance through the heaters on the good one then compare it to the readings on the one which is not performing. NOTE: with the power off of course.
