My Canon MG5320 became incapable of scanning so I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall. However, all I can get is a failure message. Do I need a new driver or do I need to download a new version of w

SOURCE: Canon Pixma MX700 Scanner Problem

I was having the same problem, and thanks to the person who posted solution number two which simply highlighted the fact that the apparently software that came with the Canon Pixma MX700 unit is not compatible with Window Vista.

The reason I was confused is because the printer was working perfectly fine across the network, but when I went to scan my computer would tell me that it can't communicate with the scanner. I'm thinking ... "well since you can communicate with the printer, you should be able to communicate with the scanner, after all, they're the same device!"

As a workaround, I used a third party program to do the scan (in this case, Photoshop) and everything worked fine. If you have Photoshop, just go to file > import to start the scan. If you don't have Photoshop, I would think whatever program you are using for image editing may have the same functionality.

SOURCE: Scanning probelm with my MP810

May be MP Navigator not compatible with Kaspersky 2009.

If you use KIS or KAS to protect your computer,disable KIS/KAS protection and try again.

I have same problem with my MP150 and after disable protection of my KIS2009, MP Navigator work perfectly.

Scanned Image is all black


Try uninstalling and reinstall the scanner again. Try on a different computer. If even after this the problem remains, may be the there is some hardware fault (failure of light) in the scanner. How is it in color?

Can't print from the 'print' button on screen, will copy and scan from printer, will run test from computer


try uninstalling the update as long as it is not one necessary to new programs. Find the uninstall for it by doind a search in the run menu, and the uninstall file should come up. Follow prompts. Now try printing again. If this fails, you may have to uninstall printer drivers ie go to remove programs, unilnstall printer and all related files. Now reinstall using your original printer canon disk for your operating system. Try printing again.
