It sounds like you have a bad solenoid which is located in the lower back of the fridge. If you are handy, you can fix this yourself. The replacement part is only $20.00, but you may want to call an appliance repair service if this seems too risky. Here is a youtube link that shows you how to fix this your self. http://youtu.be/n74DFht5IjE

SOURCE: Electrolux fridge water dispenser won't shut off

Then I would assume that the micro switch that you press for water is defective and sticking. I am placing a=> 242100001 Dispenser Module to give you an idea to what I am talking about but if you have a model number for your Electrolux refrigerator I may could find a micro-switch that is replaceable, Thanks Sea Breeze

Howto repair refrigerator water dispenser

There is an electric water valve, usually at the lower back of the appliance which would appear to be stuck open and would need to be replaced OR the switch in the dispenser area is stuck in the closed position. Try disconnecting the wiring to the valve and if that stops it then most likely the dispenser switch is defective, If not then the valve is likely stuck open. There should also be a small valve in the water supply line, under a sink or etc. that you can shut off to stop the water flow with until you get the other problem daiagnosed and fixed.

Water dispenser wont shut-off

Check the solenoid valve is not stuck open. It lets water in, pushing cold water out, and if stuck will not shut off.. It may even have a broken spring, but that is quite unusual

If the water dispenser won't shut off it is your switch stuck in the on position.

I have GE refregrator (side by side) GSS22JERF, water is continuesly flowing through the water dispenser . finally I have to shut down water intlet to refregirator. what will be the issue?

Hi,
You are describing a problem to be either your water valve is stuck open or you may have air in the line creating a siphon. If with the water on, if you unplug the water valve in the back, does the water stop flowing? If yes, problem is door switch, if not, its the water valve not closing. Have you recently replaced the water filter? Did you flush out the air? If not this is called a siphon effect and can cause the water dispenser to run after dispensing water.
Those are things I would look for.

Water and ice dispenser leaking water

Just saw your post, sorry no one answered you. If the ice maker is leaking it has a crack or the dual water control valve is stuck open slightly. Most times it is the defrost drain behind the back panel and at bottom of the evaporator coil. Some drains freeze shut and some become blocked as the make the turns leaving the refrigerator. If you would like more information and photo help please let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze
