Question about Garden
My McCulloch TimberBear just dies in the middle of cutting. It doesn't make any difference if it is under full throttle or not. It will not start back up until it is cooled off. It runs perfect otherwise. Is it electrical or in the carb?
Sounds electrical. Ignition coil's electronics can become heat sensitive and fail when heated and work again when cooled off. When it happens pull the spark plug and check to see if it arcing the gap. Bad news if you need a coil; no new ones are available if it is the saw I thinking of.
It can remotely be a fuel vapor lock from overheated fuel from running too lean.

chanes are the carb needs to be adjusted and the diaphrams in the carb need to be replaced over time they get stiff and hard from old feul, causing it to not pump feul and meter the feul properly

Sounds like the carb needs to be rebuilt. Those tiny jets will clog easily and need to be replaced. The diaphragm is also a large part of bogging and dieing. Hope this helps.

It sounds like the fuel cap is clogged. The fuel cap must be able to breathe in order for the carburetor to operate properly.
One way to be sure that it is the fuel cap is: The next time the chainsaw starts to die, loosen the cap for a second or two, it should start running properly again.

Carb needs teardown and cleaning. May be a stuck float or clogged jet.
Spraycleaner just wont cut it.
