It could be the control board. I am curious about the fresh food working but not the freezer. the cold air comes from the freezer. Is the fan running in the freezer. It is possible the freezer fan could be bad. I have replaced them in the past. If you can return the control board if it doesn't fix the problem then change it. If not it is a gamble on replacing the board.

Check to be sure you can get a replacement fan first, they last about 4 - 5 years. Available from a parts supplier or electric motor company.
Unplug fridge. Located usually in top of freezer behind a vented cover plate. Remove cover, remove screws holding fan in, may have to cut wires. Replace with new motor, make sure the fan spins the same direction (CW OR CCW) as your old one, if you don't know which way it should spin then be sure it pushes air into the freezer area and doesn't spin backward drawing air from the freezer area..

FREEZER WORKS...FRIDGE DOESN'T

Hi,...

In that case you need to check this

  • Make sure the refrigerator is plugged in securely
  • Check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker
  • Test the power outlet for current
  • Inspect the electrical cord for damage
  • Eliminate use of an extension cord, if any is being used
  • Check the outlet voltage
Good luck !!!

Hi, i would check the wire couplers for lose fit. If the wires are fine, i would test the current with a voltage test needle. If there isn't any voltage reading, the electric motor will have to be replaced.

Back of freezer ices up and the freezer

You most likely have a burnt out defrost heater. The most common part number is WR51X10053, but if you comment back with your exact model number I can confirm that for you. To fix it, you will need to remove the shelves in the freezer so you can take the back wall out. Defrost all the coils by unplugging as you have, or use a hair blower. The defrost heater is along the very bottom of the coils and has a wire connected to each side of it.

Kenmore 77563 Installed last week and freezer defrosted all the food

The refrigerator & freezer operate using the same system. One system. Your still covered by the warranty and I would suggest calling the installers or store from which it was purchased. The problem may be a faulty fan switch .
