might be a short circuit in the panel. try to replace the panel..

Open:

• control panel
• Sound and Audio devices
• Audio

make sure you have a microphone listed and that the mic is not muted.

What operating system do you have on the Vaio? Check if there is some options in Control Panel - Sound menu...

If there is any Fn key dedicated to speaker to mute or unmute, then you can use than button. There will be one hard button on the keypad. This exists for each laptop.

Please make sure your computer is not on mute. if it is not on mute, Check the driver in my computer

Be sure that you install the audio driver in your laptop. If your computer has already installed a audio driver then be sure the volume is not muted.

First sound is stall or not stall look in device ma nager. if not stallit. and go on control panel and look speaker setting. speaker is not in mute? if you look three ting u can solve your problem. if not your hardwere/speaker is damage. thank (nepal)

i have sony vaio VGN-CR23G. i formatted this xp sp2now the sound driver is not installed on my machine. no audio output m getting........what to do..??

The speakers or hardrive may have been damaged go to the sony website and downoad and install the audio or media driver!
