How to Remove virus from Pen Drive/Flash Drive?

Steps To Remove Computer Viruses Using Command Prompt:

Step 1. Click on Start and type cmd. Now right click on the cmd icon and select run as administrator. Running the command as administrator is important as you need to access the system files which are not usually visible in guest accounts. Now command prompt window will open, now select your drive from which you want to remove a virus.

cmd-1-ut2cqzhdo2jgpvt0ug4dvtv0-4-5.png

Step 2. Let us suppose your USB has a virus and your USB drive is F. Type "F:" without quotation on Command line. cmd-2-ut2cqzhdo2jgpvt0ug4dvtv0-4-9.png

Step 3. Now the C: will change to F: Now you need to type "dir F:" in CMD and hit enter. It will show you the directory of F drive. cmd-3-ut2cqzhdo2jgpvt0ug4dvtv0-4-14.png
Step 4. So now type the following command to show all the hidden and system files on your USB drive. Type "dir F: attrib -s -h /s /d*.*" without quotations and press enter. Typing this command will explore your selected drive and will load all the files including hidden and system files on your drive.

cmd-4-ut2cqzhdo2jgpvt0ug4dvtv0-4-20.png
Step 5. In this window you will notice unusual file.exe and extention if your computer has been infected with a virus like the dreaded autorun.inf virus. Rename it using this command line rename filename.extension new filename. Usage > C://rename autorun.inf (new filename)

cmd-6-ut2cqzhdo2jgpvt0ug4dvtv0-4-27.png That's it! Now you can identify all the viruses in your PC and USB and delete them without any help of anti-virus software. You can delete the autorun.inf by typing in the command "del autorun.inf" or del :"yourfilename"

How do i remove parameters from a kanguru 4 g usb flash drive?

Which format fat32 or ntfs make sure its fat32 Indeed, FAT32 only supports files up to 4 GB. I ran into the same problem when copying an ~4.5 GB file to an 8 GB flash drive. There is a quicker solution that doesn't require you to reformat or lose data on the drive, using the command-line "convert" command. Suppose the flash drive is mounted to g:\. Open up a command window (start menu -> run -> cmd), and type: convert G: /FS:NTFS. Personally, I don't need the "security descriptors" on the flash drive file system, so I use the variant: convert G: /FS:NTFS /NoSecurity. The conversion should be very quick, and of course it has the benefit of not needing to move any files off the flash drive (since you don't need to reformat it). Hope this helps.

Run diagnostics on the drive it may be failing. If it's ok you can try to reformat it from Windows Disk Management.

Or if you need to recover data for remote data recovery and do-it-yourself data recovery see http://FreeDataRecovery.us

Please help me..i have a aspire one d260 netbook..the problem is bootmgr is missing..it has no cd drive and i dont have a external cd drive to use.. how can i fix it using only a usb flash drive..how can...

You might have to take it to the shop. Lesson learned. Never buy a computer without a CD Drive because one day the system is going to croak. You will need a operatingsystem disk or a repair disk to fix it. Insert it in the drive then bootfrom it. You want to get to a dos command prompt (black screen with whitelettering) and type the following commands. Press ENTER after eachcommand.
bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /fixboot
bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd

Reboot and see if the problem is solved. If not get back to the doscommand prompt and run the check disk utility.Torun the check disk utility you will need a repair disc or a operating systemdisc. Put the disc in the cd drive and boot from it. You want toget to the Dos Command Prompt (Black screen with white letters) and type thefollowing command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour or two and you will notice thepercentages going from high to low, this is normal. Let it run tocompletion. Then reboot machine.

If check disk fails to solve your problem you might have to reinstall windows.Try doing a Repair Install that way you don't loose your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs.

In windows xp you get to the dos command prompt by selecting R for repair whenthe options appear.

In Vista and Windows 7 you want to get to the recoveryconsole and look down at the bottom of the window for the Dos Command.

The light dosen't stays on on the small box where it controls the volum. i even changed the battery for the remote but the problems still stays on so could u help me how to fix it or where to fix it.

The interface module is the "small box"..that green light is only supposed to flash to indicate it received the command from the remote control.

It will flash or blink twice when you press volume up ..and again when you press volume down.. etc.

It is not supposed to stay lit.

If this is not the problem.. let me know.. hopefully you have it all hooked up correctly.. and are enjoying the great sound these units offer.

Best of luck!

In commander mode, flash still operates when the _ _ _ option is selected.the flash is not supposed to fire. Is there a fix for this?

I'm not a Nikon CLS user, but I believe what you are seeing is the pre-flash that determines exposure of the subject before the shutter opens to take the picture. This flash shouldn't contribute to the overall exposure of the photo. There is a brilliant book by Joe McNally called Hot Shoe Diaries that talks extensively about Nikons CLS.
