Log into your router, usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1, or Google your router. In your router settings change your DNS addresses to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, these are the Google public DNS server addresses and they are very reliable.

Medion p6624 dns server no responding

Are you getting an IP address? if so, then that part is working. What do you have for a DNS server? If it is the same as others on the network nasd it doesn't work there either, then it points to your dns!

DNS server not responding on WRT54GL Linksys router

You are looking for DHCP server. It provides the IPs addresses for devices to connect. DNS resolves the IP into a name. Not really required unless you are setting up a virtual server, or the special setup.

I am trying to get online but everytime i click the entrnet explorer it just says dns error i dont know what to do

A "DNS" server is a "DOMAIN NAME SERVER" -- you feed it a name, such as 'www.ebay.com', and it returns an IP-address. Then, the Internet "routes" your traffic to that IP-address, and eBay's web-server responds to your request, and sends a web-page to your IP-address.

A "DNS error" means either:
* there is no IP-address associated with the name, as you spelled it, e.g., 'ww.ebaay.co', or,
* your computer could not connect to the DNS-server, and so could not send the query,
* your computer does not know the IP-address of the DNS-server, and thus has "nowhere" to send your DNS-query.

NOT RESPONDING TO INTERNET

Let's try setting a static DNS server and see if that takes care of it:

1. Click on Start, choose Run, type in ncpa.cpl and press Enter to open Network connections window.
2. In the Network Connections window right click on Local Area Connection and then select properties.
3. Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then the Properties button in Local Area Connection Properties.
4. Choose Use the following DNS server addresses: and type in 4.2.2.1 for your Primary DNS (you can leave the Alternate DNS blank).
5. Choose OK/Close to the windows and test Internet Explorer
Let me know if that helps

Thanks & Regards

Cannot connect to internet

Is the DNS server internal or on the Internet? Try setting DNS manually to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which are free Google DNS servers and try again.
