Sounds like your dishwasher is sensing too much cloudiness in the water. Try running it without any detergent and see if it does the same thing. If it does, and you don't see any suds in the water AND you don't have a water softener system of some sort, then the turbidity sensor might be encrusted with mineral deposits, or has gone bad.

Good luck!

Dishwasher motor starts and stops

Hey Bill,
Not professing to be any kind of a dishwasher repairman but I have had a similar issue with the start and stop thing and it turned out to be the timer motor had started to go, and in going it 'burned' a couple of sets of the contacts as well. Check with a local appliance repair centre and see first if they agree with me, and if they have anyone who can rebuild the timer - Typically not too hard to get access to and remove - In my case in Canada, it had to go to Toronto pre-paid but $70 was cheaper then a new dishwasher and it's worked great for years

My dishwasher is installed, but it won't go past the "washing" cycle. I have very hot water and am not using the "sanitize" option. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Hi, I have ideas about your dishwasher. It apparently has a failed timer.
If this is a new dishwasher installation of a new machine. Then it is defective and is covered under the manufacturer's warranty.
The hot water issue is fine. A dishwasher's internal water temperature should be at least 140 degrees, so the machine will heat up water to accomplish this.
I would cancel the cycle the machine is in test it in various cycles.
I would try it in sanitize as well. If it completes the full cycle. Then use it.
However, if it hangs up again. I will need a new timer mechanism.
Hope this helps. If you have any questions at all, reply to me through this website.
Best Regards,
Mark

My dishwasher will freeze mid cycle for a period of about 1/2 hour before continuing the cycle and it is also restarting itself at the end of the cycle. what could be causing this?

The timer control module or control board is faulty at this point. you will need to replace the timer or, control board asap. this will fix this issue.

Ice maker water will not shut off ,an l replace inlet val twenice.

valve runs on a time cycle. in most units. the ice maker may need to be replaced. you might inspect unit by removing it and checking for obvious defects, such as loose wires or evidence that timer is malfunctioning. the valve is probably solenoid type, and is native to off mode, which means that with current from the timer, it opens against a spring to let water in for a period of time. you can see if your unit has a replaceable timer.

Bosch dishwasher shu4322 has code 1 aqua sensor what is the sensor do and where is it located

Most of the dishwasher has a Thermal hold period in which the machine will not advance to the next cycle until the water temperature reaches a specific degree. it is possible that your aqwa sensor/or heater is bad OR as in most of the cases, the Timer relay that is responsible in turning the heater on is stuck open, in this case you need a new timer. So,Check Timer/Aqua sensor/Heater
