Question about Emerson LC501EM3 50" 1080p 60Hz Class LCD HDTV

1 Answer

I have a Emerson LC501EM3. It keeps blowing the fuse when I plug the power up. I can unplug the main board (green Board) and it does not blow but will as soon as I plug it to the power supply board? If I replace a board, which one?

SOURCE: ba71f0f01042 power board blows fuse

I'm not too familar with this model, but to give you some pointers, you will find when you have this problem the fuse will go straight away as there will be some of the semi-conductors short circuited. Check your bridge rectifier diodes & also the chopper transistor in the power supply. As a general check, test most of the diodes & power transistors & replace any that read short circuit on your meter. Hope this may help you as a guide line.

How do I find the fuse panel on LG model LSC269055b refrigerator

I think your model number is actually LSC26905SB
There isn't a fuse panel, per se. If I remember your model correctly, the main board is on the back, so pull your refrigerator out, unplug it, and take off the access cover located about halfway up your refrigerator's back. Look at the fuses on the main board. There is a 20 amp fuse that blows easily (the newer boards have a slower blowing fuse in them, now). Temporarily jumper the 20 amp fuse and then plug your refrigerator back in. If you hear relays clicking and such, that's good. The compressor should start up shortly afterwards and all the lights should be on in your refrigerator.

After you have verified operation, go to Radio Shack, or somewhere similar and get yourself a 20 amp slo-blo (slow blowing) fuse and solder it on top of the old fuse on your main board.

Remember to always unplug your refrigerator when dealing with the main board and power circuits.

Good luck and let me know if you need any more help.

Peavey tnt 115 blowing fuses

your either overloading something cause that's what pops fuses. My guess is that what your plugging in or into has a ground issue. I'm wondering if it does it with nothing plugged in at all. I would say if you have nothing in and it does it, you need to find where the ground issue is. that's my best guess

I have a Emerson LC32OEM2F, won't turn on. After replacing the fuse, it blows.

If the fuse blows up, it indicates a short circuit. There should be short circuited component/s at the main power supply regulator board [SMPS]. Check and replace the damaged component/s; or; replace this board as card basis. The second option will be the best. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. My 39 inch tv fuse blown constantly

Either a short or incorrect fuse being used--fuses have become specialized beyond amperage and voltage ratings--a lot are special fuses and or either a slow blow or even a thermal type fuse.

If not a fuse issue, look for a short in the power supply or wherever that fuse is located.

My emerson model lc320em2f keeps blowing the fuse on the circuit board what can cause this

Check the main power supply regulator board. It will have shorted component/s. That is why, the fuse blows up. In most cases, the components to these type of TVs are vary difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. So it will be best to replace the power supply board as card basis, rather than trying to get it repaired.

Hi i changed colour cartridge tried trial run printer died; changed fuse in plug; still no power any suggestions please

in the printer there is a power supply board.there is a same type of 3amp fuse on the power supply board.if there is any kind of overheating in the power then the fuse in the plug and fuse on the power supply board blows some cases only fuse on power supply board blows out.this fuse is placed on the board for safety reasons.because in the older model printers when this short circuit problem was happening at that time whole board used to blow in the new model of printer a fuse is placed on the board ,so if any overheating or any power outage or any short circuit occurs.the fuse blows out instead of whole power supply board. You just need to replace the fuse on the power supply board by disassembling the printer.the power supply board is the green color square shaped board.its the board to which your power wire of printer is connected. the fuse is available at any local electric hardware shop.its not any special kind of fuse. This will help. Thanks please keep updated. please please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

if there is no indication of flashing or green light when you plug and try to turn it in this indicates no power to processor. the main fuse is more than likely blown. now this fuse is on a small board that is in front of the green board. just follow the plug in... NOW this board that the fuse is on is known as mains input board. WARNING THIS BOARD CAN AND DOES GENERATE 340 VOLTS DC. AND THIS VOLTAGE CAN BE THERE AFTER U UNPLUG IT. i repair alot of these and parts on this board short causeing fuse to blow. problems can range from plug up to standby my recomendation is if you put qa 6.2 amp fuse in and it blows again a technician
