Most firearms manufacturers will tell you the production date if you send them the serial number.

Serial # range for marlin model 60 with 18 shot tube and last shot bolt hold open

On Marlin-branded Model 60 rifles, the first two digits of the serial number indicate the year of manufacture. For example, if the serial number starts with 18... The 18 is significant, for subtracting it from 2000 gives the date of manufacture for the rifle, 1982. Likewise, a serial number starting with 17 would be a rifle manufactured in 1983.

This method has not been uniformly followed. It is valid only from 1971 through 1999. Prior to 1971, the first two digits indicated the year of manufacture. For example, a rifle with a serial number starting with 70... would have been made in 1970. Starting in 2000, this same old method has returned; the first two digits once more indicate the year of manufacture directly, with no subtraction required.

Winchester 94 30-30 with Serial #3127550 value and manufactured date?

1968....and even though it's a great rifle, one of my all time favs, that year was no diff than any other post 1964 year. It's priced exactly like the same exact rifle bought new today. Approx $600 in fine condition. If it's rubbed up a bit, expect a bit less. Rifles don't appreciate much if there's nothing really spectacular about them. Great rifle, though! Use it in good health, sir!

I have a Marlin model 93 lever action rifle which no one can seem to identify. I would like to know the date of manufacture.

I went google and typed in --marlin rifle model 93 year and identification marks -- and many sites come up
one site I opened is marlin manufacture dates-antique and collectable firearms--
This site is where you can enter your serial number and submit and it should give you details
There are many other sites that you can surf that may give you what you want

How do I load the bb cal.(4.5mm) .177 cal?

Depends on the rifle/pistol. If it\'s a bb Rifle, often times there is a screw cap that you remove and put your rounds into and reinstall the cap. Some are break action and you load them one at a time. Knowing which weapon you are working with would help identify how you load it.

How do i identify this rifle it is a bolt action serial number 1105912 with a weaver scope on a different name mount it has a plate underneath that looks like it would cover an open slide tat would...

The only way to identify it is from the action alone. Stocks and barrels are changed and scopes are irrelevant. If it has no other identifying marks on the action (receiver) other than the serial number, you will have to take it to a gunsmith and rely on his experience. If it has been plated up to a single shot, then it is quite possible that it is an ex-military rifle that has been converted. That leaves a very large range to choose from..
