I cannot locate the owners manual for my Coleman PowerMate 6250 generator 10 hp? Any place I can find this online quickly thank you

Most PowerMate manuals are available here: http://www.powermate.com/productmanuals.php?cat_id=3 . However, describing it as the PowerMate 6250 10 HP generator is insufficient to find the correct manual. The Coleman PowerMate line has several models with 10 HP engines and a 6250 Starting Watt (5000 W running) capacity.

These include the Powermate PM0435005; the direct link for this manual is http://www.powermate.com/pdfs/2011/12/29/pm0435005.02.pdf .

Please add a comment with the actual model number of your generator if you need further assistance with finding the correct manual for your generator.

I hope this helps.

Oil capacity powermate 5000

With the model number of your generator, you can to the address below and download the manual for your generator. Many of the manuals do not have specific information about the engine or oil capacity.

For specific information about the engine, look for the model number of the engine itself and go the mfg. website for loads of info. The brand and model of engine is usually located on the fan cover or stamped on the engine block. If, however you would like generic information about the engine, make sure that the oil level is correct (if dipstick, full mark, if oil plug, full to almost spilling out ) and dump the oil into container then measure. Some brands of engine recommend non-detergent others use auto type of oil. When necessary, any good quality oil is better than nothing. Good luck

Coleman Powermate Maxa5000 ER Plus generator...model# PMO525312.17...i need a complete service/repair manual!!

Unfortunately, a service manual is not going to be easy to find. You may be able to order from Powermate, but you may want to save your money and spend it on consumables.

I am guessing that you are looking for a service manual for the engine itself? Good Luck on that one as well, as Tecumseh has folded. Post the engine model# and other information found on the tag, somebody (perhaps myself) may have the manual you need and send it to you via email.

Parts for the engine itself are likely to be hard to find, consider an engine replacement. It likely will be cheaper.

Oil for Coleman Powermate 5000 PM0545305.03

Yes, SAE5W30 is just the right oil for this machine,it will take about a quart to fill it up to the bottom of the threads in the oil fill hole.
The engine of this generator is essentially just like a lawn mower with a fixed throttle setting. You should expect all of the same issues as any small engine that's been sitting for a while. Check the fuel tank for water/debris, check the carb for fouling, check the spark plug, etc.

If the generator has been sitting for 3+ years without running you may need to flash it to get any voltage out of it. If you get the engine running and it won't make any electricity ask me directly and I'll talk you thru the procedure.

I looked on www.powermate.com for an owners manual but they only seem to have the parts list, rats.

Regards,
Carl

Checking oil in generator

I found some website help. I have this same problem.

I also found out a lot about the Powermate company via a customer service email reply: This has an elusive customer service number that i have not tried yet.

"
Powermate Corporation is not a part of The Coleman Company, Inc. They have been an independent company for over 10 years and we have no information on their products.

Powermate manufactured generators, pressure washers, air compressors and air powered tools. Information about those products was available from

Powermate Corp.
125 Airport Road
Kearney, NE 68848

Toll Free: 1-800-445-1805 (disconnected)
or 402-758-6303 (disconnected)
Web Page: www.powermate.com

Earlier this year, Powermate transferred the right to sell air compressors and air powered tools to a company by the name of MAT Industries, LLC, 625 Barclay Boulevard, Lincolnshire, IL 60069, 1(800) 628-8815. This company may be able to help you with questions related to air compressors and air powered tools.

In March 2008, Powermate filed for bankruptcy protection. We understand that customer service inquiries to Powermate via emails, mail and telephone calls will not be answered. However, some information about Powermate and its products continues to be available at their website.

If the problem with your unit is with the engine, check the engine manual that came with the unit to determine whether the engine has a separate warranty from the manufacturer. When Coleman was affiliated with Powermate, they did. If so, you can contact the engine manufacturer for a listing of warranty centers in your area. The contact number should be in the engine manual.

If you are needing parts for a powerwasher, please visit the site

Thank you,
