I have a oil drain error code. I replaced the oil drain solenoid only to discover I have no power going to the solenoid. I remove the circuit board p/N 539664 and discovered it has a non-serviceable

Would this be the only component that could cause this issue? The circuit board that is. M

Similar problem for us turned out to be water accumulating in the tray which set off the float switch.  I vacuumed the water out and function returned to normal.  However, we are now facing a repairman's assertion the clay in our well clogged the water inlet systems necessitating $285 in repair parts and labor.

Usually the 3v battery holds the date and time in your camera. A lot of time with digital cameras you have to remove the batteries when there not in use for a long period of time to prevent the draining from happening.

Do you have regular AA batteries to see if the meter changes? That would be the best way to see it the camera is reporting the correct battery life.

Replace the gaskets on your motor. You are going to have to buy a gasket set in order to complete this. As long as you have not tried to start it, you will not have any other issues with your engine. But if you have tried to start the motor then you can possibly of hurt the valves or the piston. So if you did not try to start it then just rebuild the engine with the gasket kit, and everything will be fine after that

Circuit/System Description
The input speed sensor (ISS) is a hall-effect type sensor. The sensor faces the 1-2-3-4 and 3-5-R clutch housing machined teeth surface. The sensor receives 8.3-9.3 volts on the input/output speed sensor (ISS/OSS) supply voltage circuit from the transmission control module (TCM). As the 1-2-3-4 and 3-5-R clutch housing rotates, the sensor produces a signal frequency based on the machined surface of the 1-2-3-4 and 3-5-R clutch housing. This signal is transmitted through the ISS signal circuit to the control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly. The control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly uses the ISS signal to determine line pressure, transmission shift patterns, torque converter clutch (TCC) slip speed and gear ratio.

Circuit/System Verification
Engine idling, observe the scan tool Transmission ISS parameter while varying the engine speed. The Transmission ISS parameter should change with the engine speed and not drop out.
Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

Ignition OFF, remove the control valve body cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement.
Connect the TCM harness connector.
Disconnect the input speed sensor (ISS) from the control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly.
Connect the J 38522 between the supply voltage terminal B and ISS signal terminal A at the control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly. Refer to Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Input Shaft Speed/Output Shaft Speed Input Test for further instructions.
Set the J 38522 signal to 8 volts, the frequency to 120 and the percent duty cycle to 50.
Ignition ON, observe the scan tool Transmission ISS parameter. The scan tool Transmission ISS parameter should be between 100-400 RPM.
? If not within the specified range, replace the control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly.
If all circuits test normal, test or replace the input speed sensor.

Control Valve Body Cover Replacement

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.
Remove the oil cooler inlet hose (1) from the retainer on the control valve body cover.
Remove the oil cooler outlet hose retainer nut (5) from the control valve body cover.
Remove the oil cooler outlet hose (4) from the retainer on the control valve body cover.
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
Remove the left engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement.
Drain the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Replacement.

Chris, you did not state auto or man. transmission. If auto check fluid level, if low top up. If still slipping and fluid OK, a transmission tech. will have to look at it and diagnose.
If manual trans. clutch is either worn out or oil has gotten onto its surface, in either case a transmission tech. will have to look at it and diagnose.

The possible cause of the anomaly can be found (see next table) according to the value of the parameter C9.

WARNING:

Alarms C2, C6 and C7 lock the boiler temperature control.

Alarms C3, C4 and C5 lock the tank temperature control.

In the case of alarms C6 and C7, the boiler waiting phase is not executed (the rinse may be performed

with cold water) and, during the initial warm-up and subsequent rinses ( btF > 0 ), the boiler heating

phase is not executed.

In the case of an open probe error ( C4, C6 e C10 ), the displayed temperature is 10°C

In the case of a shorted probe error ( C5,C7 e C11 ) , the displayed temperature is 99°C.



E1 Communication error

Is the connection between main board and control panel correct? Are the connectors correctly

CAUTION: IF THERE IS A MALFUNCTION ON RELAY RL1 AND THE BOILER HEATING ELEMENTS

ARE FED BY MEANS OF A REMOTE CONTROL SWITCH, THE BOARD DOES NOT

HAVE TO BE REPLACED; JUST MOVE THE BOILER HEATING ELEMENT CONNECTOR TO

ONE OF THE TWO FREE POSITIONS ON THE BOARD.

CAUTION: WHEN ONE BRANCH OF THE HEATING ELEMENT DOES NOT WORK AND THE

OTHER TWO CONTINUE TO FUNCTION, ON REACHING THE SET TEMPERATURE VALUE,

ALARM 3 DISAPPEARS AND REAPPEARS IN THE SUBSEQUENT RINSE PHASE. THIS

ALSO OCCURS WHEN A PHASE IS MISSING.

I changed the 3-4 shift soleniod but now i dont have any gear but 2nd and before we had 1-3 just not over drive. what could have went wrong?


There is no code that tells you to replace the shift sdolenoid. There is a code (P0783) That has a generic description of "3-4 Shift Malfunction". Please note that there are several things that can cause this code. This code DOES NOT mean to replace the shift solenoid without first diagnosing the other possible causes of this code.
P0753 is for the "3-4 Shift Solenoid/Transmission Relay Circuit" If this is the code you had, please note that this code is a CIRCUIT code. The circuit includes the 3-4 shift solenoid, the transmission power relay and all the the wires and connectors connecting the power relay, the solenoid, and the PCM together. In this case the CIRCUITS must be diagnosed prior to replacing ANYTHING.

With all that said, is there now, or was there originally any other codes in the system besides one of these? If so, what are/were they? It is possible that there is a relay fault that is causing ALL of the shift solenoids to malfunction. It is also possible that there is low line pressure causing your no-shifting problem. Then there is the question: Are you absolutely certain that you replaced the correct solenoid?

I have also seen the shifting problems worsen due to misdiagnosis. Example: the power relay is causing the problem...the 3-4 shift solenoid gets changed...the transmission valve body is now full of air because the transmission was drained and the shift solenoid was removed from the valve body causing the valve body to drain...everything gets put back together and the transmission fluid is replaced....Now the transmission will not shift in any gear because the valve body cannot purge the air due to the solenoids being inoperative. They were inoperative in the first place and are still inoperative because the wrong part got replaced. PROPER diagnosis and repair will get everything working again.

I would recommend starting over to see what codes you now have and diagnose the system accordingly.

Whirlpool washer machine, F02 code on the display it says on the book is a drain problem, how can be fixed?


It sounds like the drain pump may be bad. Does the washer initially start, or do you get the code right away? If it does, listen for the draining water sound, you'll probably get the code at that point.

There are 3 possibilities: bad pump, bad solenoid, bad control board. of the cuff i'd bet on the solenoid first. But you don't want to shotgun the thing. IF washer starts a cycle, listen to hear the click of the solenoid. No click and error code, i'd go with the board. If the solenoid clicks , then the control board is likely good.

Hope this isn't too much info. If you don't have a mechanical experience, it may be a little hard.

Hobart lx 18 does not drain


I'm assuming you're not seeing any error codes such as E0, E1, E2, etc. which could be related to water level probes. Be sure all probes are clean, free of lime/scale buildup which can interfere with the machine's water level detection.

For this machine to drain, three things must happen:

1. Drain solenoid must energize and pull in to actuate the drain body.
2. Drain body then redirects pumped water to the drain hose instead of to wash arms.
3. Pump must run and pump water out.

Remove the lower-front access panel (2 screws). The Drain body is the plastic L-shaped part with two hoses attached. It is visible on the bottom side of the dishwasher, centered in the machine both Left-to-Right and Front-to-Rear. The Drain solenoid is immediately to the front of the drain body.

When the machine is supposed to drain, watch the solenoid and drain body. If the solenoid pulls in and the pump runs, but pumps water to the wash arms instead of out to the drain hose, then replace the drain body (drain body is usually to blame when draining problems occur).

If the solenoid does not pull in when the machine is suppose to drain, then unplug the solenoid connector and test the solenoid coil resistance with a multimeter; you should get a resistance of, I'm just guessing here, approximately 1000 ohms, maybe. At any rate, you should have some reading on the meter, not and open circuit. It you get no resistance reading, the solenoid is bad - replace the solenoid.

What do the F1 & F2 failure codes on my HE3T washer, mod. #110.42926200 indicate? The washer shut off in mid-cycle and began flashing F1. After pulling the electric plug and reconnecting (2 minutes), I...


F01 - There may be an internal problem with the control, attempt a Hard Reset.

Hard Reset - In some cases the control can be non-functioning or may not accept activation from the control panel. To clear and restart the control follow the these steps:

* Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
* Reconnect the unit to the power source by turning the breaker back on or plugging the unit back into the wall outlet.
* Press the Pause/Cancel/Stop button twice to clear the "PF" in the display.
* Start a short cycle to check the operation of the machine by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the machine starts.

The F01 generally indicates a failed electronic machine control board.
This error code can sometimes be caused by a glitch or power surge through the electrical lines.
You may be able to clear this code by unplugging the washer for 5 minutes.
If the code returns after plugging the washer back in, then the electronic machine control board will need to be replaced.

The procedure for accessing and replacing this control board is shown in this image...

Be sure to unplug the washer before accessing internal components.
When you access the control board, I recommend transferring the wires from the old control board to the new replacement control board one connection at a time.
Once you have all of the wires transferred, remove the old control board and mount the new control board in the washer.
Reassemble and test the washer.

The "F01" error code indicates a communication error between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the EEPROM onboard the CCU.
The "F01" can also be displayed if the onboard "Pump Driver" fails to activate.
Generally in order to correct this failure will require replacing the CCU.
There is no way to test and verify if the control board has failed.
The technical data sheet basically states to replace the CCU.




“F02” is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a “SUDS” error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.
