SOURCE: My Singer Heavy Duty 4423 has a problem getting the bobbin thread to come up

Best solution is to take your machine to a a local sewing machine expert and get the device reset. I am having problems and that is what I intend to do. Fortunately, I have a 50 year old Featherlight that I can use and an excellent White Serger. That will get me through while the singer 4423 is in the shop. Good Luck to all.

SOURCE: Singer 3321 Talent Sewing Machine jammed after one turn forwards or backwards, even when thread and needle removed it won't work

This sounds more like the motor is bound up. The other solutions are, check for thread wrapped around moving parts, any belts that may have become displaced.

Testimonial: "Thank you I took the casing off and although I could not see any obvious threads I cleared out and blew into machine and put it back together and hey presto I am happy it worked.. So I reckon you are right with something bunging up the motor. Whatever it was I loosened it. Thanks"

Why is the bobbin case on a Singer 4423.CL - Heavy Duty 4423 not working right?

If you've cleaned and oiled it, change the needle to see if it is catching in the wrong place and re-thread, of course. If none of that works, it's probably the timing ... find a good repair guy.

Thread keeps breaking on Singer 4423.CL - Heavy Duty help!

Have you cleaned and oiled? Changed needle? If so, be sure that there isn't some lint or broken thread in your tensioning disk (I had that one for a while, was *hard* to see as it was just a wisp). If that doesn't fix it, you'll likely have to take it in and have the timing checked.

First make sure the needle is the correct size and fully inserted into the machine. Test

Then if that doesn't solve the problem check the timing.

Good luck

Model 4423 singer stuck in reverse

Solution: Turn off machine. Turn stitch dial until you hear click on each stitch shown on dial. Set to straight stitch then and set stitch width to 6. try machine again being careful to put light force on the foot pedal so your not going full throttle. This is how I "de-confused" my Singer Heavy Duty 4423 when it got stuck on reverse. Hope this helps!
