1 Answer

Water leaking My breville fresca is leaking water from under the tand and also from the bottom of the machine. I have purchased a new tank to eliminate this possibility, but it is still leaking. Any ideas what could be causing this and how I could fix it? Thanks!

The hose going from the tank to the spout may have a split or not be seated correctly. Check that.

SOURCE: Water leaking out of the tank

Hi,

i think you have to replace the gasket where the water tank fits, it´s very tight there, you have to take off the bottom from the machine then you will see two screw, loosen this.

Now can you put down your hand in the hole and take of the plastic above the gasket.

Hope this will help you.

SOURCE: A lake of water

anyone else w/ this problem: cheap workmanship = cheap, malfunctioning machine. turn it upside down, unscrew the 4 screws w/ metal washers and the six screws with out washers from the base of the housing. once removed, you can see that cheap metal clamps are used around the plastic hoses which supply water from resevoir to steamer & brewhead via the pump. either length of hose above pump or below pump has come loose or pump is fauly or there is a hole in a tube. good luck!

There should not be a problem, it has moulded holders built in to both the back of the machine and in to the reservoir. They fit together, not just against each other. Once fitted together it locks securely, do not overfill it and do not fill it while on the machine. That will cause it to spill.

Replace water tank seal

Just had this replaced by a electronics repairer. There are two screws needed to be removed to take the top off first. One under the tamper, the other near the steam wand. Once they're out (and after removing the 6 out of the back) apparently you can take the back off to replace the water seal :)

Turn your machine off, then push and hold the 1 and 2 cup buttons and then while still holding them push and hold the power button. Wait until the clean cycle begins.

No steam no hot water

Do you have enough water in the tank? Is the filter secured in the tank?
Move the steam dial from standby to steam and wait about 20-30 seconds, should steam if it doesn't most likely faulty.
