Very importat!!! Do not power the device on if it is off. If it is on, power it off. Next dry it off as best you can. If you can remove the back and battery case, do so and remove any additional liquid in those areas. After that, place your phone in a bag of rice. The rice will absorb the additional moisture that is trapped inside the phone, and after about 24 to 48 hours, if there was no damage done to the circuitry inside the phone, it should work just as good as it ever did.

I dropped my phone in the sink, i immediately got it out and dried it off. the screen worked just fine last night, but now the sreen wont respond to my finger.

Water has leaked into the screen from the sides. Try resetting the phone... remove the battery (if your model allows it)

Otherwise, you try this.. to try and recover the touchscreen. Yo may have to take it in for repair if this doesn't solve it.

G1 in the toilet

Let it dry for a longer period. As, if the water has gone into the screen area, draining the water is a real issue. If it still doesnt respond, get it to a service station before the condition worsens.
