This one should have a knob or lever on the side of it to switch between "drill" and "hammer plus drill" It can be used as either a regular drill or a hammer drill.

Hilti te 56 combi hammer not working

The gears inside that engage the chisel points to move back and forth are either not alligned properly or are stripped. You'll have to open up the hammer to see what, exactly, is the problem.

Hilti TE 17. Hammer doesnt work. Rotary does.

Most likely the O-rings are worn - tool has no compression to move the hammers inside.
Less likely: the connecting rod for the piston is broken so piston isn't moving - or 2nd hammer is broken into pieces.
I would open it up & check the orings first

Will the bits from the te-c3x fit my te-17

Yes. New bits will fit old Hilti drills. Old Hilti bits do not fit the new (last 15 years) Hilti drills.

Will a Hilti TE 17 to drill 1" holes in sandstone?

The TE 17 is at least 29 years old. It will do up to an inch. However there are no parts available for this tool. Also be carefull if it has a black fill cap on top of the gear housing then it does not have a safety clutch. If it has a red one then it does have a clutch.

Need rear moter bushing for TE-17

Hilti has not carried parts for the TE17 for about 15 years. That tool was produced from the 60's up until the early 80's. The part you are looking for is an Oilite bushing that is held in the motor end cap. Even though the part is no longer available a good machine shop should be able to make you one.
