It has to do with your bobbin and your tensioner. Sometimes the machine just slips a little out of time. Mine is an old singer machine (1970's) and if i slow down and keep it on a basic stitch, about #8 to #10 on length dial, then I won't drop so many stitches. Also, check your bobbin., If it is a little too short, the machine won't pick up the loop every time. All bobbins are not created equal! I hope that helps.

Yamata FY7568 only stiches ----------

Have you changed your needle? If you have a dull or bent needle it can cause the machine to not lock the stitches together and the result is a straight stitch on every pattern. Also, check your stitch width selector and make sure that it did not get accidently moved.

Sewing machine not making stiches

At first, my machine was getting all tangled under the fabric and then would stop working because it was tangled in the bobbin area. Now the bobbin area is staying clear but there are no stiches being made. I have no idea what to do. melissashulga@yahoo.com
