Press and hold the power button for twenty seconds or so, ignoring any "Shut down?" prompt that may appear, until it turns off. Release the power button, then press and hold it for a second or two until it starts to reboot.

How do I fix my broken screen on my Kindle fire hdx with a frozen screen.

CONTACT AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE. I hope its under a warranty/service contract. Replacing a broken screen off coverage is expensive. If the screen under it is frozen its likely the dropping caused more problems than just the broken screen.
