Question about LG Televison & Video
It's plugs in has no power, won't turn on
Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

My friend's LG 50" plasma tv has the same problem and it cannot light up. The picture and sound are working fine. But the brightness is too low. It is purchased 2006 too and out of warranty. So I opeend up and found 9 capacitors 3300uF 10V on the power module at the middle of TV are popped. I am planing to replace all of them. They are available at digikey.com. I think this model's power module has design flaw. The cap rating may to low. 10V? Stay tune to see what happen after I change the all the caps.

Does the tv make a clicking noise like its trying to turn on before the tv goes into standby and the LED starts flashing? I suspect this is due to a shorted component, most likely to be in the 5V(switching) line and just want to be a bit certain before we start testing the power supply.

Hi, go to "Settings", click on YouTube, click on "My YouTube" and you will get a code that you must activate at www.youtube.com/activate "Manage your youtube account View your Google Wallet and make purchases on your behalf Perform these operations when I'm (you`re)not using the application" I denied permission and cannot access my youtube account but I will not give them access to what they are requesting. You can still use youtube though. Good luck!
Please note that YoutubeTV will request your permission to do the following:
"Manage your youtube account
View your Google Wallet and make purchases on your behalf

I denied permission and cannot access my youtube account but I will not give them access to what they are requesting.
You can still use youtube though.
