If new remote does not work, then what do you think is wrong?

Usually when this happens it is a manufacturing issue. Before anything else be sure to remove and replace with fresh batteries. Then try once again. If it is still not working, contact manufacturer. Also, look to see if there is a warranty for this product. They will most likely replace it and ship it to you!

Where is the zoom button on TV or remote?

Press the Format button. It's directly below the power button. It has a symbol of a rectangle with a double-headed arrow inside.

Press it to cycle through the different picture shapes.

Why does my 50 Lg plasma after storm doesnt want to turn on 50pb560b ?

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and precious time.

I have a skandia remote and an lg television. how do i get it to work if i dont know the codes?

You could try to Google the model number of the remote with "manual" to get a owner manual which should have the programming instructions and a list of codes--keep in mind not all remotes will program for all equipment.

Image too big

You have two possibilities; either buy the original remote or look up the code for 'universal' remote for that set here:
Remotes
If you can't find the code set for the remote & TV you have, look for a code set for one of the following brand names:
Funai, Symphonic, Sylvania, Emerson, Aventura, Durabrand, ESA, Magnavox, INSIGNIA, Philips and Misakai

These are all made and marketed by Funai.

The document size is too big when scanning

I'm assuming that you mean the scanned image is to big to fit the screen, and not that the document you are scanning is too big to fit in the scanner...

Try reducing the resoloution of the scan, this will redce the size of the scanned image.

EG: at the moment your probably scanning at 1200 dpi, when 300 dpi might suit the application better.

Image too big for screen

I have the same tv.
On your remote push menu, then go to settings, and then screen. Put the auto wide to on. And keep the picture mode on normal, not the zoom or wide zoom. If its in HD it will fit the screen. If its not in HD it will crop the sides. This worked for me, hope it works out.

Cant get rid of black baras on top and below while watching DVD's

The TV remote may have a button stating Aspect Ratio, or similar. Usually when you keep hitting it, it may cycle through available settings like 16:9, 4:3, Wide, Zoom, etc. If not, or if the remote doesn't have this button, check the TV's onscreen display but usually the source device like the DVD player is in control of how the image fits the screen so the DVD player's onscreen display or it's remote may also have the Aspect option so check it as well. Todays TV's are alot like PC monitors and they "talk" to the device in control of the signal. Your Samsung may have worked better with the Blu Ray, or maybe it's the other way around but your new LG may not have an automatic adjustment like the Samsung may have had.
