How do I know if my dryer is gas or electric?

Look at the back. If it has a small pipe (about 1" diameter) that would be the gas line. Normally an electric has a larger plug than a standard wall outlet. You can also Google the model number and brand to find out.

My Dryer does not dry. I want to check to see if gas is going into the gas chamber but dont know where to look, do I have to take off the front panel? if so, is there an easy way to do this?

Convert a gas dyrer into a electric dryer?


Sell the dryer and get an electric one. Conversion is not possible. Be advised that electric dryers run on 220 volts and require a special plug. hope this helps!

the E in the model # means it is electric. It would start with LGR if it was gas.
