You didn't mention what thermostat(s) you have but most simply require you to go from cool to heat and then check the temp setting(s0 to make sure they are in your comfort zone.

LUX TX500E thermostat flashing fan. Have installed batteries backwards and reset to factory settings installed new batteries as well. Still flashing fan. Furnace not working.

With this thermostat, it may be flashing FAN because the HVAC (any heating or cooling unit) unit isn't working. In the winter, the pilot light for the heat may not be lit or the air intake/exhaust could be blocked. In the summer, the AC coils could be frozen or there may be another problem. Go to the HVAC unit and look for any lights at or near the control board. Check the outside unit for problems as well.

If there is no problem with the HVAC, try resetting the software in the thermostat. Use a bent paperclip to press the reset button above the Next button; the reset button is inside a small recessed spot. If the problem persists, try a different thermostat. If a different thermostat doesn't work, the HVAC system needs to be serviced.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the type of furnace you have (electric, gas, oil). That might help determine what issue you need to look for on the main unit.

Where is the summer/winter switch located on Dayton Fuel Trimmer furnace model 3E438A.?

The typical 'summer/winter' switch is an added switch associated with OLD heating systems back in the 50's and 60's before central air conditioning became common in homes. I doubt that your new furnace had one installed because you can accomplish the same thing by switching the fan on at the thermostat sub-base. That is, of course, providing you have a subbase with 'fan-on-auto' on it.

Need to wire furnace blower

Gas valve should only have a couple of wires...24 Volt & common. the blower will use one speed on a gas furnace & a common. If you have AC or a fan switch on your thermostat, then the high speed will also be connected on the blower.

I can't find the summer switch on my furnace model FG6RA 072C-12A

there isn't a summer switch - the thermostat will switch the operation from heat/winter operation to cool/summer operation. I.E. "Cool" for Summer and "Heat" for Winter.

Not blowing as much air out of the vents

Check your filter, could be dirty and restricting the airflow.
Also, most furnace/AC combination units are set to blow more air in summer and less in winter, could be you're used to summer airflow level.
Good luck!

20 year old Rheem 90 plus 120k btu furnace blower runs contantly. Furnace and AC work fine (start and stop according to thermostat setting). What is problem? How fix?

Check to see if your unit has a heat sequencer. This is usually the problem with most furnaces. If it is bad, it will make the fan blower run all of the time. If you are not a electrican, you may want to get a electricin to look at it.

We have a Weatherking Heater/AC unit the heater works and the AC worked last summer when we tried the furnace this winter no heat found out it was the 24 volt transformer replaced it and heat worked fine...

I think you have a definite short and it's in the 24 volt circuit. The only problem is - 'finding a low voltage short' is not the easiest thing in the world to do - so - I would guess you'd need a Service Tech.

good luck!
