Question about Brookstone Scanner Mouse
My laptop does not have a disc drive so I downloaded the driver from the Brookstone site. When I double click on the installation icon, it says to connect the mouse and restart installation. However, I am using the mouse to double click on the icon so it is connected. I can use it as a mouse but it will not scan. I called Brookstone and they said to Google it to see if I could find a solution - hmmmmmm. Any ideas? Thanks!
Make sure you install with administrator privileges (right click run as administrator)
why not disconnect the mouse and use the trackpad/buttons until it asks you to connect it?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
