Without a remote control; you can't. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this site too. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops.

SOURCE: Menu not working.........

Resetting the TV
If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:

NOTE:
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.

clip_image001.jpg
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

hope this may help;

Regards,

You have to have a RF cable hooked to the tuner on the back of the set, should be 2 tuners, hook up the cable to either one and the channel option will be selectable

SOURCE: Hi I have a Samsung

IF you on CABLE your going to need a Addressable converter now some tv's you can do away with that with a "cable card"

Now if you going OTA over the air you need a high gain antenna and you need to be within 30-40 miles from the nearest transmission tower or you will need to go aerial with it.

Its tricky going OTA.

Update me with if you using cable or over the air.

Thanks

for my effort's the accept button would be perfect.

Panasonic viera plasma TV will not display tuning option in set-up mode. Please can you suggest how I can fix ths.

If you click on the TV button on your remote control. I believe that this puts the TV back into Digital mode.
You can also go to the Main set up menu to get into the various tuning options by pressing the MENU button on your remote. There are some devious little settings hidden away in there.
My TV was not showing that it had HDMI when I selected AV inputs...I eventually found that it was able to be restored through the MENU access.

Do your TV has a 'Menu" button on its front panel? If yes, you can enter its menu options, and select the inputs. If there is no such button, you must have a remote control to select inputs.
