Most likely, the thermostat is bad and the heater is getting too hot. It shuts off to keep from catching fire, then cools down and works again.

They Samsung dryer is letting a lot of lint outside that is not being caught by the lint trap.

yeah, no dryer is gonna catch it all, but if you want to keep from making that mess outside, fasten some old hosiery to the outlet of vent to catch that escaping lint

If you take front of dryer off, there is a half moon shaped piece of felt on top of door opening that most likely has worn and leaves a gap between drum and where that felt is. Replace that for right drum fit.

My amana DLG330RAW dryer won't stay on. it has a combo timer and start dial turn the dial to the timed settinG and push...dryer starts part way through the cycle, the dryer...

Hello PB,

What i would most suspect as being the problem of why the dryer just stops randomly before the cycle is done,is a problem with the door switch or the door catch...does the dryer restart as soon as you restart it?? if yes i would check that the door catch was broken so the door will pop open stopping the dryer. Also check the door switch using a meter set to measure ohms and see if the contact is burnt ( a good door switch will be zero ohms resistiance)

Instructions
Things You'll Need:

* Electrical tape
* Wooden dowel
* String

1. Place a strip of electrical tape over the latch of the dryer. If your dryer loads from the front, simply locate the latch and place a strip of electrical tape over it. This will stop the door from "catching."
2. Put a wooden dowel on the base of your top loading dryer and prop open the top, the same way you open the hood of your car. This will keep the dryer door open quite easily.
3. Tie a piece of string to the knob on the dryer door. Then tie the other end of the string to something else sturdy in your laundry room. Make sure the string is taut. This will also keep your dryer door open.

Start but will not stay running

Some dryers have a broken belt micro switch mounted where a lever will stop the motor from getting into the run mode. They do this to keep the heater from catching fire. If your dryer is a DOT dryer (dryer of tomorrow) made by maytag for kenmore then it certainly has such a switch. If your dryer is a plain jane whirlpool manufactured one then you needs a motor replacement most likely friend. Sowwy.

Clothes and sheets come out wrinkled and twisted

Try not to wash large items with small items the large items like sheet will twist around the small item. causeing twisting and wrinkling. Also If you are overloading the clothes or underloading the clothes they will come out wrinkled. I would try to do some testing wash a load of only towels then wash a load of only t-shirts and other light weight items that you may have. Then do just a load of your jeans. What happens? Please let me know
