SOURCE: craftsman riduing tractor turns over but won't

If you have spark and compression, the only thing left is fuel.

Check that fuel is being deluvered to the carb (remove fuel line to carb and make provision to catch ejected fuel. Crank engine. Fuel should be pumped from the tank and out the open line at a good rate.

If this checks out (or there is no pump fitted, but there is fuel issuing from the pipe), check the electrical connector on the bottom of the carb. There should be battery voltage on this conection for the engine to run - if not - that's the problem.

If that checks out, the cut-off solenoid (fed by the connection you just checked) is suspect.

SOURCE: I have massey ferguson 383 tractor that sat for 3

I would check to make sure that you are not getting air into the fuel system. With a tractor sitting that long I would also be concerned with 1. bad fuel, 2. bad fuel injector pump, 3. clogged fuel filter, 4. water in fuel system, 6. intake/exhuast valves siezed. You will just have to start with a process of elimination.

SOURCE: I have a 2003 (old) riding mower. Just recently,

Hello,

My name is Dane and I'll try to help you with your problem.

I think you have a bad coil. A coil will operate fine on initial startup, but go bad after warming up. Get a cheap coil tester from an auto parts store an install it between the spark plug and the plug wire. Be careful on the next step because the engine can start. Turn the engine over and check for a bright light on your tester. If the light is dim or not producing at all, replace the coil. If the engine starts, allow it to run until it dies then recheck. If your coil checks ok, the other possibility is that your float isn't allowing the fuel to enter the carb fast enough to keep up with the demand of the engine. Thus, the engine sits idle, the carb bowl fills and it will run for a while until it goes dry again. This is caused from bad gas and deposits in your carb. You will probably need to remove, disassemble, soak, and use compressed air to blow out the jets in your carb. Pay close attention to how the carb is attached to the engine and disassembled. Make a drawing if you need to or take some pictures. Disassemble the carb as far as possible and put it in the cleaning solution. Do not place rubber parts in the solution. Allow it to soak in cleaner overnight, and then blow out the ports and jets with compressed air before you assemble and reinstall it.
I hope I've helped. If you found this information useful, please leave feedback as deserved. Thanks! Dane

Kubota L 4060 wont start full charg battery

Try taking off the cables and shining up the battery terminals and the insides of the cable connectors with a piece of sandpaper and reattach the cables and try to start again. If this doesn't work, next try removing the spark plugs and shine up the spark area (center pin and sparking arm) with your .sandpaper and replace. If still no luck, it could be a fuel issue. You will need to check whether fuel is getting to the cylinders. Remove one spark plug and briefly turn over the engine and then shut it off. Do this very briefly for the sake of safety. If the open cylinder is wet (feel in the open spark plug hole with your little finger), it is getting gas. If it is dry then the fuel is not getting to the cylinder and there is a fuel plug somewhere in the system. This is more difficult to diagnose as it could be a problem with the carburetor, the gas line filter or the gas line may be plugged.

As it went for a period of time I suspect that the fuel system has a problem. I take it that it is a diesel being a kubota. When diesel sits unused for a period of time gunk grows in the fuel tank. I suspect that this gunk has now blocked the fuel filter or that there is air in the system that has to be bled out. I would also check that the stop solenoid on the fuel pump is working to allow it to start.

Kubota tractor got of seat and now won't start

Most seats contain a safety switch.
go online (like I just did) and type in "Kubota tractor seat safety switch" then scroll through the pics to see where the safety switch is. This switch is to prevent one from getting off the tractor while it is operating. DO NOT REMOVE IT. It will only put you and someone who doesn't know it is gone to have an accident maybe a serious one.
