Firstly go to this link given below and download all drivers for your notebook . Then install them and restart your notebook and if it's still not working then it's a hardware problem. You might have to change your notebook's display.

SOURCE: White Screen - Unable to See Desktop GUI.

Two separate problems, sounded like..

White screen? If external video is okay then it's likely (1) a bad screen, or (2) a disconnected video cable.

If the system shuts down, I'd check the fan - if the fan is reasonably clean and running, then it's probably a bad motherboard.

Connecting my new samsung blu-ray player (bd-fm57c) to my toshiba theaterview tv.

I don't think that cord will work. HDMI carries video and audio signals, you might get video but probably no sound. You might as well try anyway though so here goes... The red green and blue plugs are your video and the other red plug and the white plug is for stereo sound. The yellow plug is just a lower quality video plug. So plug in the red blue and green plugs into the component video inputs on the TV then the red and white plugs into the audio inputs. DON'T plug in the yellow plug. If this doesn't work go to your local home theater store and ask for a receiver or switcher that will downscale high def HDMI to component video and stereo audio. You can probably pick up a cheap one for around $100. Good luck!

Why is my Toshiba flat screen showing this red haze on screen?

Try adjusting the settings, You didn\'t supply the Model? Connected to Cable? Sat? Have you contacted your Provider? I can\'t tell much from the video ,Is it "pixels"? Sometimes my toshiba will freeze or become pixelated, it\'s the signal from Xfinity. Pull the plug on the TV cable/sat box wait 30 seconds ,plug in, saame with TV. A sort of reboot. Reset your setting to default. Satrt from the beginning of setup. Is it under warranty? Maybe you should be watching the Outback Bowl,

Laptop screen and external screen have lost color completely, only getting black and white

In my opinion if you have black and white screen internal and external screen while booting and while you are into windows desktop you have a faulty graphic card. Common fault on toshiba laptops.
Actualy the reason for their sales drops dramaticaly in the past few years ;)

Toshiba dvd when plugged to componet to tv picture balck and white... The picture is fine when plugged to composite or s-video... Component from sat box plugged to tv works fine too..

Sounds like either the cables you are using are bad or the component out on the dvd player is bad. Try using a different set of cables and make sure there are no loose connections on the dvd player

White Screen Issues on Toshiba M115-S1061

connections could be good in ribbon cable
but still needs to be replaced

the white screen indicates that the inverter is still good
if the laptop works with desktop monitor, then video card is good
if you tap the lid to the lcd and it goes on and off ,ribbon cable for sure,
everytime you open and close the screen , it tugs on the ribbon cable also , only tape holding this in place

Snow on screen and no picture on my DS35510

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Offhand, if the previous system/connection works then we should leave that as it is. Coax-Sat Receiver-Coax-DVD Recorder-TV and TV should be Channel 3 (or 4).

On the new Sat Receiver, coax from LNB/Dish to Sat Receiver, yellow, red & white to TV. TV should be set to Video 1 or A/V or Video. There should be no snow, rather if no reception, it should be blue indicating video has muted in the absence of a good signal.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.
