SOURCE: Suction cup does not stick to the base.

  1. If you will stick the suction cup to your windshield make sure to clean it first use dry clothe and put pressure while rubbing it to the windshield.
  2. After cleaning it before you stick the suction cup to the windshield make sure the lock is release and then put a pressure and then while pressing it then that's the time you will lock it.

SOURCE: how to remove base on samsung 2333hd

Hi there,
We had the same problem, we just wiggled it back and forth, gave it a good tug, and hey presto! We got it out. I'm not sure whether this is the "official" method of doing it, as nothing is mentioned in the instruction manuals.
Good luck!

Apparently you need some kind of MOUNTING SCREW EXTENSIONS to mount your tv to the wall.

You will need to contact Philips Customer Service at 1-800-705-2000 to order them.

See page 5 of your tv's USER'S MANUAL at the following link:

Good luck and please comment back if this was helpful.

My suction cup for my in car camera will not stick to windscreen keeps falling off how to make it suction properly and not fall off

That is pretty typical.

If you want to mount it to the window, then make sure the glass surface is completely clean. A generous amount of saliva on the suction cup will keep it up on the glass for a while.

You are better off using the adhesive backed suction cup disks and mount it to your dashboard.

You need a dash disc as the suction mount needs a very smooth surface. Disc are available at GPSNSTUFF.com.

The mounting bracket does not adhere to the slightly pebbled vinyl surface of my dashboard. Does the clear plastic cover, with the tab, come off or stay on? Also, there is a round black disk that...

The mounting bracket is meant for mounting on the windscreen. It won't stick to the pebbled vinyl surface of the dashboard as the surface allows air in. You take off the thin clear plastic cover. The black disk that came with the satnav can be stuck to your dashboard if you want to mount the satnav there. Clean the dashboard and peel off the plastic cover off the disk to stick it to the dashboard. Be sure not to put it where there's an airbag. You can then attach the satnav to the other side of the disk the same as to the windscreen.

To attach the satnav to the windscreen press the suction mount against the screen and press the lever towards the screen. To remove it pull back the lever and lift the tab on the suction pad.

Does the dashboard disc get stuck to the dashboard and the unit then get stuck to the dashboard disc? There are no instructions for this in the manual. My unit is a Garmin nuvi 255WT.

Yes, the dashboard disk gets stuck to the dashboard. Then the unit gets stuck to the disk.
This is because the suction system used to mount the unit will usually not stick directly to a car's dashboard because of the material or shape, but will always stick to the disk.

Windshield Mounting Unmounting

first the round plate... that has a sticky circle on the bottom.... you remove the tape and stick it on a surface where you want the gps... then when you want to mount the gps you suction cup it to that disk. now for the suction cup... when it is disengaged the plastic suction cup will be loose. to attach it to the plate or window... you swing the small arm on the base of it up or down... you will see as it will lock the suction... the gps should clip onto the holder so you can leave the holder where it is and remove the gps and slip it into your pocket.

Not the best instructions but you will get the idea

Tomtom one 125 easyport mount won't stick

The soft vinyl suction cup has two ears. Behind the ears are two depressions in the mount ring. The vinyl shapes itself into the depressions and forms two tiny gaps when you try to stick it to the windshield.

Place a pencil or other small round object between the ring and the soft vinyl part. Bend the vinyl outward. You may not be able to see the difference, but it should now stick

Unsure how to mount tomtom on car windshield

I was perplexed by the lack of instruction as well. However, I took the unit to my car and realized that the black disk is not needed for mounting the unit to the windshield. If you look carefully at the bumpy plastic ring just above the suction area, there are two little pictures on the back of a lock; one open and one closed. With the ring in the open position, push it against the windshield and turn it to the closed position. It then sticks to the glass very well. I now just snap the unit in and out of the mounting ring that I leave stuck to the glass. I hope this helps. I assume that the presence of the black disk is to bring people closer together with digital communication.

I just bought the magellan maestro, and I can't get the suction cup to stick. The surface is clean and we wet it, but it loosens rapidly.

The GPS unit comes with an adhesive disk that must be installed on the surface where you want to place the GPS unit. The suction cup will only work with this adhesive disk. Once the adhesive disk is installed, the suction cup will hold. Here's the instructions magellan web site...

  1. Clean and dry the dashboard where the adhesive disk is going to be installed using enclosed alcohol pad.
  2. Remove the protective paper cover from the bottom of the adhesive disk; place the bottom of the adhesive disk firmly on the dashboard.
  3. Apply even pressure on the top of the adhesive disk for a secure fit (Allow 24 hours to cure).
  4. Place suction cup mount on top of adhesive disk.
  5. Firmly press suction cup mount down flat against the adhesive disk, press the suction cup lever down to secure the suction cup to the adhesive disk.

I recently got a new car and had to transport my GPS to my my new car. Problem is the mount that you put on the dash will no longer stick to it. How do I fix this problem?

Hello Hoshiko,

You don't say what kind of mount you are using. There are a couple different kind. One kind uses an adhesive (like double sided sticky tape) to secure the mount to the dashboard. For this kind of mount you can simply purchase some new adhesive tape to apply. This is available from most hardware or electronics stores.

The second type of mount uses a suction cup type device to secure the GPS to the dashboard. For this type you will want to make sure you are attaching the mount to a smooth, nonporous surface. Make sure that the area you are attempting to afix the suction cup to is clean and dry. Make sure that the suction cup itself is clean and moisten it with just a little bit of water before attempting to get the mount to stick.

If you still can't get the mount to stick to the dashboard you might need to look at other mounting options or purchase a replacement mount.

Best Regards,
Ken
