Check to see if the infrared led is working. Here's how to test, using your cell phone camera, point remote to the camera (cell camera must be on) then press any button in remote, on the cell phone camera, you will view a white light, if no white light comes on while you pressing the remote buttons, then the infrared led has died our, needs to be replaced. Alternatively check batteries are OK, make sure there is contact with connectors inside battery bay
