Here is a web site I found with a manual. May help you out.
Please make sure you are either connected to your Digital TV antenna to do this. Cable and Direct TV have their own boxes and you wouldn't need to store any channels. These boxes would connect to your HDMI input or Component Red, Green and Blue RCA connectors.

The tv s autostore will not retune

i think in your TV...... design ..... is such that once channels are autostored it cannot be retuned ..... so you try this ...... it may work ......... disconnect tv antenna cable ( or local tv channels cable ) from your TV & then click autostoring (auto tunning ) ..... definitely it will scans (search for channels ) ..... but since no cable is connected no channels will get stored ...... but previously autostored channels will get removed ...... so now again connect your antenna cable or local tv cable & then click autostore ...... it will scan for channels .... like this you can retune ....... but remember again you may get same quality of picture which you got earlier ..... if you want better quality of picture you have to use signal amplifier (increases cables signal's strength - then picture quality improves ) .....

I can't seem to find where the aux channel is it a very old tv but it has a place for video and audio input but i don't know what channel its on?

Normally there is a button on the remote or on the front of the TV itself labelled INPUT.

Just press this button repeatedly until the input mode selector changes from TV to VIDEO 1 or DVD or something similar.

The TV will then be ready to display the video signal from the device connected to the AV inputs.

Remember that the device (DVD player) has to be turned on or the TV will not show any incoming signal.

Please comment back here to this page if you have any details to add, have any questions, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.

I hope that was helpful to you, good luck and take care.

Joe.

Don't have the control for the tv and I can't get to the game option on the tv to play my xbox.

Is there a TV/AV button anywhere on your tv? If not get a universal remote so that you can change the inputs/AV channels

What channel do i use to use the DVI entry?

None, channels are only on the tv source entry. The DVI is just another AV entry, to use it you just select it from the other AV sources.

I can't find the dvd input for my hitachi tv

DVD has AV out pins at rear, hook AV cable between DVD player out and TV AV input (yellow-red-white RCA pins) and select that AV input in TV by remote that you hooked DVD.
That will switch TV to that input and TV will show you DVD player picture.

Hitachi C28W440N can't switch over AV channels no remote

have you tried buying a universal remote? you can get a decent one for £10 these days from any electrical store, such as curry's or maplins. it gives you a 3 digit code for the tv to link up with the remote and then you can switch over to av. some hitachi tv's also link up to av automatically if you connect your game station via scart socket (in the back of the tv) if you turn the tv off and link your wii up to the back and make sure the power is turned on before the tv is switched on, there's a chance the tv will auto detect the av channel. not all do but it's worth a try. hope this helps!
