Question about Televison & Video
My Fios settop box updated today and now has NP signal. Iv rebooted it several times but still says no signal .there is no time on it either . All the other TVs in the house work. Hoepw do I fix this issue ??
Did the device happen to lose power in the middle of the updating process?

Probably a handshake problem with the cable box. It is common for cable boxes to have HDMI handshake problems. Hook the box up using the component cables and you should be fine

SOURCE: Tiling problem with cable card
This is a two sided issue 1. The Tv model you have does not work with there TV card 2. There Tv cards are so outdated its pathetic and do not work for most people on newer TV's that accept the cable card. You can try purchasing your own cable card but would recommend you stay with the cable box for now!

when the sound goes out again ..try connecting a dvd with the same wires and input ...this will let you know if it is a tv problem ...and if it doesnt go out ...when you do this .. verizon need to check the sunrise readings to your set top box
