Have you tried this? Open up Windows Media Player. Go to the options menu, and choose privacy settings. Make sure Set Clock on Devices Automatically is checked. Then hit okay. Close Media Player. Connect your MP3 player to the computer and reopen Media Player. That SHOULD synchronize the clock automatically.

How can I upload album art onto a philips gogear vibe for all my artists? I have album art inside my folders and i had itunes embed the art into the files when i uploaded them; however the art only shows...

There are 3 possible ways in getting the album art for your music album.
  1. Album art may be obtained from the online Music CD database that Windows Media Player uses.
Note: Not all music albums have album art available in the online CD database.
  2. From the online music store where you purchased your songs or albums, the album art may be downloaded along with your purchase.
  3. You may also create your own album art by transferring your favorite jpg photo into the selected album folder and rename it to Album Art.jpg.
To download album art from the online database and transfer to the player.
  1. Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
  2. Launch Windows Media Player.
  3. Go to Tools> Options> Player.
  4. Make sure the "Enable picture support for devices" check box is selected.
  5. Click the Apply, then the OK buttons.
  6. Select the "RIP" tab on the task menu bar.
  7. Insert your music CD into the CD drive of your computer. The Windows Media Player will take a few seconds to show the content of the CD on the display.
  8. Click "Find Album Info". The Player accesses the database hosted by WindowsMedia.com and displays information about the album in the Album Information pane. The album art will be shown if available.(Note: For some music CD, album art may not be found in any of the online database.)
  9. Click Finish to update all the information about your album and show it in the Rip pane.
  10. Connect your Device to the computer.
  11. Select the tracks that you would like to rip by clicking in the check b ox next to the track.
  12. Click the Rip music button to start ripping the music CD.
  13. Once the tracks are finished being ripped to the library, go to the Media library and select the songs that you have just ripped.
  14. Add them to the sync list and transfer them into your Device. The album art will be transferred along with those selected songs.
  15. Disconnect the Device from your computer.
  16. Make sure that the option in your Device has been selected to display the album art on the device, at Settings-> Album art.

To create your own album art and transfer it to the Device
  1. In Windows Media Player , right click on the song you want to update the album art of.
  2. Select "Advanced Tag Editor" option.
  3. In the screen that pops up , select the "Pictures" tab.
  4. Use the drop down list to make sure that the type of picture you add is the Cover (front).
  5. Click on "Add" to associate a picture as the Album art for the song and all the songs in that album.
  6. Add this (and other songs from the same album) to the sync list and transfer them into your Device. The album art will be transferred along with those selected songs.
  7. Disconnect the Device from your computer.
  8. Make sure that the option in your Device has been selected to display the album art on the device, at Settings-> Album art.

Cant delete incorrect album artwork from itunes albums; on my mac. Trying to drag new artwork onto the album doesn't work, nor can I remove by dragging incorrect artwork to trash. The artwork appears to be...

The easiest way to address this issue is to edit multiple album tracks at once. To do this, select the first track of the album artwork you would like to change. Hold the shift key and click the final track. Next, right click the songs you have selected (which will now be in blue). Select the menu item "Get Info". From the "Multiple Item Information" pop up, remove the current artwork in the artwork box (if needed) and click the check box next to artwork. Select ok.

This will remove the artwork for all items which you have selected.

How do I record new music on my ipod? I found a first generation iPod in a desk I purchased. I have purchased a cord to play the music already recorded through my car, but have no idea how to charge it...

to charge the ipod you have to plug the usb cable if you have one, to the computer or you can purchase a wall charger. for adding, deleting,or edit any content in the ipod you need to do it thru itunes plugging your ipod to the computer with the usb cable. in itunes you will see the ipod appear under devices.once you have add the songs you want to the itunes library,(if you don't want to keep the songs you already have) clip on the ipod under devices and just press sync, if you do want to keep the songs then when you click on ipod you will see where you can check and uncheck options,is right under version you will only check "manually manage musics and videos", now click on the arrow nex to the ipod under devices you will see there all the folders in your ipod. dobble click on music to open the music folder in your ipod in another window now drag and drop the songs from the itunes library to the music folder in your ipod. and your done. here are a few pictures to help you better.

How to put music

To copy music files onto your device:
  1. Connect your MP3 player to your computer using your USB cable. Switch your MP3 player to the MTP mode by pressing the power button located on the top of your player. When the USB symbol disappears your MP3 player is in the MTP mode.
  2. Opening your GPX audio player folder by clicking 'Start' on your computer.
  3. Click on 'Start'.
  4. Double Click on the 'GPX MTP Device' icon.
  5. Double Click on 'Removable Storage'. Minimize your 'Removable Storage' window.
  6. Open your 'My Music' folder by again clicking on 'Start' and then click on your 'My Music' folder. Choose an album or individual songs from this folder. With both your 'My Music' and 'GPX MTP Device Removable Storage' folder open. Drag an album or individual song from your 'My Music' folder into your 'Removable Storage' folder.
