Question about Google Chrome
I do not want google chrome anymore
In the control panel look for programs--uninstall a program and look for chrome and uninstall it
also depending what wondows you have, go to search and see if it still comes up and if it does delete it there also

Seems like your firewall settings may be set to block chrome from accessing gmail. Check that it is not so.
Try reinstalling chrome with the default settings.

The error that you get indicates more of a proxy problem than a virus problem. If you are behind a proxy, you have to have this added to your Chrome shortcut, in the Target field after the location of Chrome: --proxy-server="proxy:port" where proxy is the address of your proxy and the port is the port number.

Once you cleaned up your PC, if your copy of Chrome is still corrupt, or it's not working, try to remove it and install it again. Here's a link to the download page http://www.google.com/chrome

If you check the properties of chrome exe you will notice it is currently running in compatibility mode, uncheck it so that it runs normally and it should now work!
