Question about Samsung 1.8 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave - Stainless-Steel SMH1816S
Likely an electronic component has failed. It sounds strange, but this sometimes occurs to electronic devices that had been previously working just fine -until it is removed from power. When power is restored, the device fails. This type of behaviour is normally associated with power surges, but it can simply happen to electronic devices that have been in service for a while. Have you ever noticed an incandescent light bulb "blow" when you switch the light on? Unfortunately, the controller circuit board will require replacement, which may not be economical.
