SOURCE: A Bostitch F28WW that spontaneously fires a nail when coupling.

When was the last time this tool was serviced? Bostitch makes an Oring kit for this part #N890RK I could not find the price. I would start by looking at the safety to make sure that is moves freely and is not bent. Then I would think about putting new rubber in this tool. First go to Stanleybostitch and navigate into tools and then support to look at a breakdown for this one. It is not that difficult to rebuild, if you do make sure that you put lube on the new orings and take your time rebuilding to ensure that you dont pinch one of the new rings. Hope this helps

SOURCE: Help with Bostitch N60 air nail gun.

If it is a N60FN you will have to install a new trigger valve P/N TVA6. Any Bostitch service center should have them.

Air slow to build pressure after the trigger is pulled not sinking nails completely

Tear the tool down and install #18001 Rebuild kit. Just because the O-rings look good doesn't mean they are not worn.
Also make sure you grease the orings with the grease provided in the kit.
The entire cylinder has to move up and down in this gun so it is important it is clean & lubricated.

How do i rebuild my bostitch n80 frameing nailer

Bostitch nailers are simple to rebuild. Bostitch company was sold to Dewalt so parts are now easier to obtain from local Dewalt service center. Use Ork11 oring kit and tva6 trigger valve. These parts are also available on ebay. Good luck or your nailing projects.

AIR BLOWING OUT OF EXHAUST PORT DO NOT NAIL AT ALL

you have a problem with a split o ring or a seal that has gone bad. I would suggest buying a rebuild kit and redoing all the internal parts. It is not that hard to do and I would suggest taking some pics along the disassembly to make it easier when rebuilding. Let me know if you need more help.

Looking for rebuild kits (parts) for my N16 nail guns. I have 3 of these older guns and would like to rebuild them.

Stanley Bostitch doesn't make kits to rebuild their nail guns, you have to order each o-ring, seal, etc. seperately. The N16 was a good gun however there are very few parts available for them. You can go to www.bostitch.com to see what's available through them. You can also get part numbers for what you need for your guns and research any available parts on the web.

Hi, when I nail also it leak. when I make a shot, the gun nailer blow for the middle. but when I don't nail it does'nt feel any leak.

Your description makes it clear that it needs a head rebuild kit. You can order this from Hitachi, or send it in to local Hitachi center. Good machine, straightforward repair. If you are a little handy, you can do this repair yourself. remember to oil the gun frequently to make your repair last longest. Farmerbear at FixYa

I have a Bostitch BT200 that is dry firing. It seems that the "hammer" is not retracting after it fires a nail. I have to push it back manually and even then it seems to dry fire a few times before a nail...

The check seal is what causes the piston to retract. Remove cylinder and examine check seal. It is a small band that covers a series of holes and should fit snuggly around cylinder. Other factors that have effect on piston retraction are, split/cracked cylinder, bent driver and lack of lubrication. This gun is tricky to rebuild. Make shure that all the parts in the head are placed correctly. The kit does contain all the parts that you need. Good luck

NV45AB2 worked great a year ago.hooked it up last week and it only shoots the nail 1/4 inch in a piece of wood and it wont advance the next nail.My framing nailer works so the hose presure is good.

if you havent used in a year the o rings could be dry and you can try and lubricate them, but sounds like it needs them replaced. You can try going to Nailgundepot.com and buying an o ring rebuild kit from them. It contains all the needed parts except for the grease to lube the o rings. Let me know if you need more help

Leak inside Bostitch N80 Nailer, won't drive nails

If the unit is leaking it most likley need a rebuild kit. Go to a Bostitch service center and ask for an ORK-11 kit. That is all the o-rings needed to do an over haul. Or just have them do it.

Rebuilt nail gun and now it just blows air out the exhaust port

This probably is the problem,

The cylinder that the piston moves up and down inside is probably to low, and not making contact with the rubber piece in the head cap.

The cylinder has a spring that allows for movement up and down, take a pliers and gently pull up the cylinder if it does not move freely on its own. It will stop when it reaches the cylinder plate ( the part with 2 screw holes for easy removal). Be careful not to mar the cylinder though.

When reassembling the cylinder should make contact with the head cap. Hope that works!
