On your intake manifold, #3 in diagram. My info showed two wires, one is gray, the other is orange with black tracer.

SOURCE: MAF Sensor 2004 Dodge Stratus

If your car has a MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor, it would be located in the air delivery tube that runs from the air filter box to the throttle plate assembly on the intake manifold. It will have a wiring connector going to it, also. The MAF does exactly what it is called: It "senses" the volume, or "mass" of the air-flow; thusly it needs to be in the intake air tube. If you do NOT have such a device in the air-tube, you have a MAP sensor, (Manifold Absolute Pressure); this is another way of measuring the same air volume, albeit older technology. You will commonly find this device on the firewall, with a vacuum line running to the intake manifold.

I hope that this sheds some light on your question.

Under intake manifold on top of block, you need to remove intake to access sensors there are two of them you can't miss them when intake is off. After replacing sensors you need a new intake gasket.

My info says you have to remove front cover. The front cover is on the same end as accessory belt. Rockauto showed an oil pump repair kit for your vehicle. I can only tell you what my database shows.

How do I turn off my service, abs, and trac off lights off and why would they be on? I have a 2004 Chevy Cavalier with the 2.2 Ecotec engine

Service light can be turned if with an OBII scanner (Autozone or any good parts store can reset service light for FREE) The ABS & trace control lights are in because you have a wheel sensor(s) that are bad - replace bad sensor and then a certified shop or dealer has to reset ABS light (EXPENSIVE TOOL)

Engine Swap

There are several engines that will fit the 2.2l Ecotec, 2.4L high out put motor, and I have actually seen a chevy cavalier that has a 3800 V6 in it if you want to go all out but in most cases sticking with the ecotec motor or the 2.4 High Out Put motor would be best they are two of the best motors for these cars and since the Sunfire is basically the same car as the cavalier almost any thing motor wise is inner change able between cars depending on the motors i own an 2004 chevy cavalier LS sport and a buddy of myn has a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and both have the 2.2L Ecotec and are both Manual trans and even most of the interior parts are the same except for some of the dash board components hope this helps you out
