If you are increasing stitches you knit into the front of the stitch but don't take it off the needle then knit into back of stitch then take off the needle.

k1 f&b (or kfb): Knit one stitch in the front, then another through the back. Also known as a Bar Increase.

I don't understand this row...increase pattern worked over 4 stunt he's as follows: KFB 1st st, KFB 2nd st, K1, KFB 4th st, repeat this increase pattern to end.


Kfb means you are going to k the stich and before you pull it off of your left needle take the right needle and bring it to the back and under the yarn and knit it again. You will make two stitches from the one.
