On some machines this is a drainage code, check the drain filter on the bottom of the machine. You can Google the term F15 with the make and model of your washer to look at websites with the correct codes.

Kenmore range suddenly started flashing f15 error code. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, i need help with this repair. Thanks.
Really need to know the washers make and model number. If a Hotpoint washer F15 signifies water is not being pumped out and a flood condition could occur. Check that the drainage hose is raised to the recommended minimum height and that the pipe is not blocked.
I can confirm that an F15 fault means 'Gearchange failure (too slow)'.

F15 is a motor control unit error, this can be caused by a module failure or loose wiring or multiple error codes in a cycle, try un plugging for ten minutes to reset.
Error F15 Motor Control Unit (MCU) Error
If the MCU detects multiple resets or errors during a wash cycle it will go into this error mode.

- Check wiring harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCL)
-Check Drive belt
-Check MCU
-Check Motor
-Check Wire Harness
F15 - Water is not being pumped out and a flood condition could occur. Check that the drainage hose is raised to the recommended minimum height and that the pipe is not blocked.
Are you sure it is E15 and not F15?
F15 on an lcd display washer/dryer indicates dryer element faulty. this being the case then it will probably require a new element fitting.
