Question about Dryers
My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.
You have asked a loaded question. If I had a model number I could better help you.
So, let me give you the probable causes:
1.) Your dryer air distribution manifold is plugged. If your sensors do not pick up air flow you unit will shut down.
2.) You could have a bad ignitor. Although, the ignitor glows red it may be worn and not have enough power to open your gas valve.
3.) The problem may be your thermal sensor. If this is bad your unit will shut down.
I can help you fix your dryer. Send me the dryer model number, which is on a label on the machine when you open the dryer door.
I will step by step walk you through the diagnostics and we will fix your dryer together
