I want to know how to fix this registry error problem for FREE. There are a bunch of sites that give you a free scan and then when you go to click "fix", it directs you to a site where you have...

Alternatively, you can use CCLEANER, another Registry fixing software/utility. I have come across a Registry Tool, which is effective to fix common Registry issues. Its FREE, small size, easy to use and completely safe. Click here to download CCleaner. Install CCleaner, Click 'ISSUES' and 'SCAN FOR ISSUES' and then click 'FIX SELECTED ISSUES'
Make a backup of the registry and proceed. You may proceed without registry back, if you like.

Good Luck!

Nero 7 essential crushed while being installed and cannot be unistalled. I tried to reinstall but am being told DLL missing

Ok. This will be a bit involved. First go to My Computer, then click on your Program Files, then scroll down to Ahead Nero and delete everything. Once Nero is deleted from Program Files (the DLLs are normally kept there), go to www.filehippo.com and download CCleaner. Install it and click on registry, scan for issues and you will see several Nero issues in the registry. Click on fix all selected issues, and you will be asked to save the issues, click yes or ok and it will save the registry issues to the bottom of your My Documents folder. After saving the registry issues, click fix all selected and let CCleaner fix your registry. CCleaner only fixes registry issues that are considered to be safe fixes.

After you fix the registry, close CCleaner and try to re-install you Nero 7.

Oh, by the way, while you are at FileHippo, check out all of the other free Media Players there; you may find one better than Nero 7.

Same problem as the first guy

If you are not computer savy, it is dangerous to play around with the registry. If you screw up the registry the computer won't work and you most likely need to reinstall Windows.
What do you want to do in the registry?
If you need to fix and or cleanup the registry for some reason there are Registry fix programs on the Internet, it is a safer option than trying to fix the registry yourself.
Do a Google search for these programs on the Internet.
